Hey Guy, hope everything is well with you. Kinda weird to see this two year old video pop into my feed again. I know you no longer have the Prime. What are you driving now? I still have my high mileage '19 Prime. Almost 439k miles on it now. No major repairs to date and the same original brakes believe it or not lol. Another RU-vidr, The Car Care Nut, did an overview video of my car about a year ago if you're interested. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fzJaFR9xlhM.html Really nice guy and an excellent Toyota specialist located in Chicago.
Hey! Hahaha thank you so much for sticking around with me. I am trying so hard to keep everyone in the loop with everything going on. The tires were amazing. They have mixed reviews of increasing or decreasing fuel economy, my results weren’t bad. No experience in decreased fuel economy on my end. No rust in the vehicle whatsoever! I traded the car in for a RAV4 hybrid, and Optimus (Prius) was bought by someone almost immediately haha. At over 100,000 miles, everything still worked as intended. Brakes were great, brake fluid was clean, the coolant levels were good, everything was great. I did add some sound deadening to get it a little quieter and it worked a little. But all in all… I miss the car. 😢😢😢😢😢 I wish I never traded it
Or you could just yield for him since he is trapped on the road with unforgiving entitled drivers. Plus that driving around 80k in traffic with idiots is alot harder than you would imagine. So just don't be so critical, take a deep breath and move on pal!
It was the white car I was referring to. Lol I’m sorry, I should really put it in the description. The white car was tailgating me for about a mile, and swung around me, cut someone off and cut off the truck driver. The truck driver was fine lol
Why do say he important than everybody else ? He is merging into traffic out of the exit lane ? You need to yield to him he is bigger than you. You wouldn’t be driving that car you are whining in if it wasn’t for truckers of this nation . Or anything you own sport. Truckers work hard away from thier families for everyone of us . Show a little respect .
"The other guy" wasn't even in the frame when the Charger crossed over, and there was more than a car length between you and them when they merged into your lane. Please show the footage of the person cutting you off, I think you uploaded the wrong one.
Says the guy who saw people needing to leave the exit lane, yet continued to stay in the lane that blocked them. Get out of that lane if you don’t want people getting on the highway in front of you.
But that isn’t even the point, you need to slow down and not drive like that. I can gladly show you other dash cam videos later showing why you don’t do that, but you’d have to subscribe and follow along.
And this is why all drivers should have to drive inside a tractor trailer for 16hrs And see that driving a 80,000lbs 80’ long truck is like. No one has respect for the drivers that deliver our goods that we so love!
This “very important driver” just seems to be doing a proper merge to get out of an exit only lane before they’re blocked in it and forced to get off of the highway to me.
I have a rear dash cam I need to install. This person was tailgating me, and then swerved around me and tried to cut off the truck but immediately swung around him. Dash cam doesn’t do Justice
Hes 80,000lbs of moving steel you need to say all of this again while looking in a mirror 😂 he HAD to get over because he cant slow down fast enough to wait for ypur stupid ass to get into the EXACT FUCKING LANE HE WAS TRYING TO GET OUT OF!
You slow down. Then use your horn to let the other know you cross over the road way. With the red blink light you stop then when you see clear intersection you tap your horn to let the other people.
It certainly looks that way in the video, I don’t know if the white SUV was paying attention, but they did certainly slow down immediately after I honked my horn. But I can see why it’s kind of funny lol
Hi JDWay, is it possible to contact you regarding this video (i.e. via email)? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible to discuss? :) Cheers, Felix
Nice car! Thanks for sharing your video! Great mpg! (I had to listen to the video twice, thinking I must have miss heard it when you stated that the car achieved a 72mpg average!) *subscriber but not prius owner yet.
I just started shopping for a hybrid and I'm wondering if you received a federal tax credit when purchasing this Prime? I am hearing conflicting things regarding this.
I have the 2020 Prius. I love my car but I really had a lot of problems with the tires. I replace all tires already because the the original tires does not worked properly. somebody had same experience?
Thank you for your comment. It sounds like you don’t quite understand the definition of “high end”. Every vehicle on this planet is considered to be a luxury, and each has its own purpose. You can buy a 2013 “high end” bmw for less than a 2022 Toyota Prius Prime. You can spend more in gas in a Prius Prime than a BMW if you drive more often than someone who doesn’t. Just because something appears to be “more luxurious”, doesn’t make it so. “Luxury” is a general term that we all use to describe what we each define as luxurious; Because not everyone can afford a vehicle, my definition of “luxury” is any vehicle with 4 wheels and an engine that happens to be a reliable mode of transportation. We at JDT don’t use the term “Normal” for any vehicle since they’re all considered to be “luxury items”, and are not necessary. While we appreciate your questions, we are curious as to know how you define “luxury” vs “normal”.
Do you drive a BMW? Because it sounds like you are embarrassed that someone is comparing a Prius to your… “luxurious”, or “high end” car. A Prius Prime comes with light weight Enkei brand wheels, environmentally friendly leather seats, heated seats, touch screen, heated rear view mirrors, Apple carplay, wireless phone charger, 3-USB Ports for charging, LED Headlights, LED turn signals, LED brake lights, CARBON FIBER REINFORCED Rear Hatch, high efficiency engine that returns 80+ MPG, radar cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high beams, LED high beams, pedestrian detection, pre collision warning, collision prevention, lightweight materials to help with fuel efficiency, and SO. MUCH. MORE. The Humble Toyota Prius Prime and it’s siblings, Prius and Corolla Hybrids and other hybrids, are not just “normal”, as you define it. These are expensive cars. It cost someone almost $6,000.00 recently to replace the front bumper, headlight, and turn signal. Does it sound “normal” to you still? 😉
