After the first 3 boats laid up on their side it would be time to scrap those piles of junk and get a new hull for your series. Hell, they'd be safer in Australian dinghies!!!
If Honda thinks this is good for their image they’re wrong. I’ve never seen a group of drivers perform so poorly. It seems like non of them have driven performance v bottom boats before.
Safety? Procedures? Etique-what?? I didn't see any either...so this must be an Aussie-born sport! Over there it seems they invent and embrace these events...unlike here in North America where we would find ourselves evolving into this "scary" situation - they would set it up that way from the get-go! That is pretty darn intense stuff! NOW I can understand all the battle gear they're wearing and THIS would be a case for 5-point "seat-belts" - ejected from the frigging boat! Almost run over by several other competitors! Are they nuts!?!?! Or are they Aussies??
As a racer of cars and boats and an avid Motorcyclist. If there is one common thing among all things racing its safety. Safety is the single most important thing preached about on the track and/or course. There isn't safety in what I see involving this type racing. Its fucking stupid to embark on an event this out of control. At what fucking point does someone use there brain and open there mouth regarding the lack of safety in these events. They look like drunk first time boaters in over powered runabouts trying to make a derby out of boating. What the hell kind of racers would involve themselves in this crap?? Stupidity, simple stupidity.
You have not raced then it seems. I've been on tracks in the Lotus Cup and have raced amateur offshore and can tell you know the controls and procedures in place are with the best of any form of motor racing. Everyone has safety as their foremost priority during a race, hence the statistics are just as good as other forms of racing. It might look like a "derby" to the uneducated eye but you have to remember it is like rally cross on a constantly evolving track. Being thrown out of the boat is the exception not the norm and there is a procedure followed by all boats in the event of that. Feel free to ask questions before passing judgment on a subject you don't have any idea of.
@@ryfisher4028 I currently race boats similar to this. This is rubbish. Mainly because of the water they are on. The course is in exposed costal water and boats are circuit racing. Bad mix in a lightweight boat. The drivers do appear to lack any form of discipline also.
Talk about kicking some ASS! I was wondering, if regular hulls, flip over as much as Tunnel Hulls? These boats were getting some AIR! The only scary thing, is getting flung out of the boat, & then getting propped by a boat motor!
