Thanks for the shoutout brother 🙏. The website will be a work in progress even after release to keep updating skill trees and adding more guides. One love <3
But yeah they are same devs and thats great cause they have now lots of exp dealing with a U4 MMORPG and a singleplayer would be easy so i have faith on them!
I'm actually looking forward to seeing how the lower rarity units will compliment the slightly rarer units in combat. Really I'm looking forward to everything in his game so far. How f2p holds up throughout, as there have been few gotcha games that get this right. The only other gatcha that I play is Epic Seven, and that game does a pretty good job of being cost friendly of even cost-free, mainly because it's really an equipment gatcha at end game and not a character gatcha, despite what it may look like at first glance. But honestly, I already see this game being better.
Great and informative video. No need to apologize for the length, as I prefer the longer form videos, and you did well. Learned more from this longer video than I have watching countless shorter videos on RU-vid concerning some of these same subjects. You have the best breakdown of the gatcha mechanics in this game that I've seen so far, and this will definitely help new players such as myself to really understand what I need to focus on from the start. Again, great video. Thumbs up!
Let me get this strait (anyone, pls correct me if I got anything wrong) 1. I summon 30x at the Debut-Banner 2. I get a random Legendary, not the rate-up (Lost the 50/50) 3. So now, I "only" have to summon 150x to guarantee the rate-up. And on the Standard-Banner it resets to 100 4. I summon 30x at the Standard-Banner this time 5. I get a random Legendary 6. So now, I "only" have to summon 120x to guarantee the rate-up (on the Debut-Banner). And on the Standard-Banner it resets to 100 Worst-Case Scenario below: So, on one hand I either just summon on the Standard-Banner, 180x, to then guarantee the rate-up on the Debut-Banner Or on the other hand, I summon 99x on the Debut-Banner, summon once on the standard-banner for the pity there, then go back to the Debut-Banner The second case sounds like the "correct" way to summon then, because you have the chance to win the 50/50 during this 99 Pulls, and just summon once on the standard-banner just to get a random legendary (in the worst-case scenario like I mentioned) Now that I wrote that out it makes more sense, but it still feels kinda weird Cuz I don't want random legendarys, I want the rate-up Wouldn't it be better that, if you loose the 50/50, the next Legendary would be guaranteed to be the rate-up? And have the same 100 hard pity to guarantee a Legenday like the standard-banner? This feels way to convoluted and actually a DOWNGRADE to the way Gachas like Arknights, Alchemy Stars, etc. handle pitys. Even Genshin is better and that kinda says a lot...
So you never have to roll on the Standard Banner. Just by rolling on the Debut/Destined banners, the pity for the Standard automatically applies. So if you pull on the Debut Banner 100 times, on the 100th time you will get a legendary and it will either win or fail the 50/50. If it wins it resets they 180 on the Debut. If it fails it resets the 100 on the Standard. If it fails you would have 80 pulls left on the Debut till you hot the guaranteed.
@@EvolPlays Ahhhh...now I understand xD I thought the 100x pity accumulates on either, but can only be "used" on the standard-banner. Thats how I understood it. But that makes more sense then actually. Thanks for clarifying, appreciate it! I really want to give the game a try now
Its better to remove the Auto mode, it makes the game boring, this is a strategy game, so you must use your brain im the game, not AIs brain, Also i hope devs in game are listening to the gamers
Not sure exactly what my team focus will be yet. I did make a Hangman Team during the last CBT, which was okay, but I didn't optimize it fully. Was fun.
Just found your content for the first time, thanks for covering this game. After watching the video I’m still a little unclear on your opinion on parts of the game, like what are your thoughts on the story? On the difficulty?
From what I played of the story, I really enjoyed it. It gave me that nostalgic feeling of when I was a kid playing FFT. The single player story mode is fantastic. Just a lot of homage to the classics.
As for the difficulties, since I only played up to like level 30, I noticed that of you don't plan and think you are going to brute force your way through, it will be challenging. Knowing how your units work and interact is key. It's the right kind of challenging IMO.
You are over complicating the summon system I think. It is just like any other game, you hit soft pity at 100 and hard pity at 180. The reset on standard banner is kinda worst. Becuase normally, you could get a 5 stars on the standard banner at 100 AND another one on the debute banner at 100, but now, you will only get one on the debut banner at 100, and the standard will reset if you do not get them rate up character. So, you will miss on a potential another 5 stars.
Well no cause if you pull on the Debut Banner and you pull a legendary on pull 30 and you fail it, then it resets the 100 pity on the Fateful Banner. But you still have 150 left on the Debut Banner to get the rate up. So then if you get another Legendary at 60, it resets the the fateful again, but the Debut Banner is at at 120 now. You aren't missing out on legendary and your pull economy on the Debut doesn't suffer if you fail the 50/50. But with that said, you do miss out on the current trend of, if you fail you definitely get it next time trend. But you do get more shots at legendarys and copies of legendary. Also, it seems like that once the Debut Banner is done, the units go to the Fateful Banner pool. (I cannot confirm because I refuse to look at the CN/TW versions). That means that you get chances at getting copies as well as them being rate ups during their Destined Banners. I dont feel it's complicated and is just a nice fresh take on an always evolving pull system.
So let me see if I understand this, you do a 100 pulls on the debut banner, then you get a guaranteed on the standard banner, then you do another 80 on debut and that character is guaranteed. Is that right?
@jonathancook1721 Yea. So let's say you are on the Debut Banner and you pulled 100 times and you didn't get a Legendary. On 100 You'll pull a legendary and if you lose the 50/50 you'll reset the standard banner, and the Debut Banner will still have 80 left in which you can get the guarantee if your pulls are that bad. But let's say you succeed the 50/50 and get the Debut character. Then the Debut Clock resets to 180, and the standard banner still has whatever it's counter is on. So there might be an instance where you're pulling on the debut banner, and you are 100 pulls in and you still didn't get the debut character, but you might have pulled 5 Legendary units during that time off the standard banner. Then you end up succeeding the 50/50 on lets say 120 pulls or you end up going to hard pity at 180.
I actually haven't looked at that yet. I've kinda been looking on TW and CN servers only a little. I'm trying my best to not be spoiled with knowing what exactly is gonna come out. I have this problem that once I start knowing things, they aren't as fun as when I first see them. So I want to keep the excitement alive. Also SOMETIMES gacha games treat their global versions different than their CN/TW servers. So I just want to focus in the Global experience.
I think any implementation of an equipment banner (in any gatcha game), that's suggestive of the potential for where the game could go in the long-term future, at least as far as the gatcha mechanic is concerned. Games could actually be an "equipment" or "gear" gatcha only disguised as a "character" gatcha. Despite having never played the game yet, I don't think that this will be a real issue for SoC, considering that there appears to be only three equipment slots for characters (less potential for abuse or at least needless grind), unlike Epic Seven, where there are like eight different potential (and often necessary at end game) slots for weapons, armor, artifacts, etc. Ultimately though, we will just have wait, experience and see where and how the SoC developers choose to expand on that, if at all.
Gonna drop a few bucks for the release get a ok account to have fun with, but i wouldnt try to go hard until they start releasing element team must haves
Dissidia was fun, but iunno. Cause right now we got some bangers that are very generous. Solo Leveling, Hokkaido Star Rail, Wuthering Waves all are very good and healthily take care of their players.
I dont disagree. TriStra was so good. It kept my attention from start to finish. But it did take me like little over a week to complete it on my first time through.
@@EvolPlays I did my first playthrough on hard and it was like 100 hrs iirc 🙈 I guess if you just want the story experience you could do it in 2 weeks without feeling rushed. I forgot about that part of my 1st playthrough lol
The battle pass will more likely be 20 bucks and 30 bucks. 20 bucks for all that is a steal. And frankly, if you cant afford 20 bucks a month for your main game, you shouldnt be spending so much time on a game in general.
I dont disagree with the second part. But I don't know. I dont see it being 20-30. I feel that with how current battle passes are in other games, worst case would be 15-20.
@@EvolPlays I guess it will depend on how expensive the game is in general. Some games cost 20 bucks just for one tenpull. (If it's that expensive, I will just play it casually) If its more reasonable, I will be spending 100 bucks a month, lol... with prob 2 or 3x that the first month. I really liked the demo.
This is my opinion. The gacha system is not really good for F2P especially with siganture weapon coming in the future. There is no rate on/rate off system, the guaranted rate up pity is around 180. The Fool Journey it's your usual tactic battle. The Spiral Destiny, it's the peak of this game, this is the only thing that surpasses my expectation. And probably the only reason I will keep playing the game. Another cons is there is not a single well organized guides(articles) in internet except from discord community.
I can definitely appreciate these points. I use to think the same about the 180 pity, but I realized that when you pull on the Debut or Destined banners, you're actually also pulling on the Fateful banner as well. So in reality yea, guaranteed is 180, but you could pull 3 to 5 Legendaries during that. I break down the Gacha System little more thorough in my "Things You Need to Know" video and what I feel should be changed. As for the guides, that's what I'm hoping to do in the future. I'll be covering the game on release with guides and videos. I talk about that in my final thoughts video.
Also, I don't think the weapons change for the Battle Pass. If you think about it, you will need dupes to max the weapons out so it makes sense to keep the same ones.
Building up your Epics or rather pooling resources so you can will help clear some of the hardest content. I seen the highest levels of the tower cleared with just 3* units because of synergy and buff/debuff stacking. IT IS SUPER IMPORTANT TO NOT WILLY NILLY SELECT UNIT SKILLS FOR SR AND BELOW. I would recommend not selecting a skill as you rank up until you want to use the unit for a specific reason so you know what you want to use it for. The Castalia resources is one of if not the rarest resource in the game.
Nice coverage and congrats on the creator program! So hype for this game, more than any other in a very long time! Hope to see you going hard at it and good luck on your pulls!
