As a young boy I ,we my family and I lived in the small Hamlet of feather falls just off of the Middle fork until I was about 14 years old ,growing up in this environment it still is in my DNA to pine about the good ol days memories that cannot be replaced ,while I was young at the time one could say I and my friends and family would have called me a "feral" child of the woods I roamed all over the area , Would go out early in the morning and stayed out among this matchless beauty surrounding me !
Looking at the fire map, there's a good chance that many of the Upper Bidwell Park swimming holes were largely unaffected, but we won't know for sure until the area reopens. Sycamore Pool and Five Mile remain unaffected.
The fire started near Alligator Hole, so that is likely affected, but it looks like the fire spread away from Big Chico Creek. We won't know the full extent of the damages around the swimming holes until there's containment. Sycamore Pool and Five Mile Recreation Area are unaffected.
We're not sure about this part specifically, but during recreational high-water flows (generally once a month in July, August, and September), there are Class III, IV, and V rapids along this fork

Are we sure, that the Hopi department of natural resources maps, 2 maps on their online page, are very similar to butte county's map. I would combine them 4 I know 2 there and 2 local drawn maps and give yourselves a more accurate topographical map of the area. I believe Lewis and Clarke had to split the documents during the 1950s census. If not before. Thank you I know it's resources but butte county could truly be Ophir. </×
