The Eagle Pipers' Society meet at the Scots Guards Club, Haymarket, Edinburgh from 8pm every other Tuesday. 2013 begins on Tuesday 8th January.
The Society is open to anyone with an interest in the Great Highland Bagpipe. Formed originally in 1960, the Society exists to provide an informal setting for pipers to perform and for enthusiasts to enjoy the music.
All are welcome to join, play, listen and enjoy good company. Visit www.eaglepipers.com for more details.
Bruce has composed an amazing 2/4 march called "Michael Grey's March Through New Zealand." Try to find a good rendition of it, if you can. It's very original and compelling and clever. He's also made an excellent strathspey called "Winnie Roberts" that's very melodic and original as well.
Not sure why this is? Checked the channel and it is working on that perfectly but for some reason it appears not be working on phones or iPad. Investigating.
It appear to be working on the phone when I logged into the channel but when not logged in and just a general search a few older videos are not playing with sound. I would refer this to our IT dept but we don't have one :) Could be a browser issue? I will keep working in it.
I still have my Eagle Pipers membership card from 1972 when Uncle George Stoddart taught me at the Celtic Lodge in the Lawnmarket. Bring those days back. Good to see the Eagles resurrected. Thank you
