compared to professional soldering on youtube(s), looks like this video is demonstrating almost substandard soldering. a) never heard of "reinforced soldering". ever hear of "ribbed edges" those are reinforced by means of bending. b) the flux is gel or liquid not solid. you are using weird material. c) you said stripping zinc? They do not. it is flux that takes care of oxide and seal the joint. d) not educate how much heat in the iron is necessary to heat the metal-flux (not the solder)
This setup with a titanium coated head instead of copper is much much better. We use it for gutters and it takes it to the next level. The tin is flowding 25 mm between the zinc. Copper head is old generation
*Very handy addition to the tool box.🔫>**share4.photo/dMetal-Shear?ㄴ98 ** Works with the ryobi 18volt impact by just drilling to shallow 1/8 holes for the spring pins to grab....cuts hardware cloth like butter*
*I saw this metal cutter on Utube and was interested 🔫>**share4.photo/dMetal-Shear?ㄱ97** Looked it up on Amazon and thought what the hey it could work . WOW , yes it works . It works fantastic . I put up a metal shed and had to cut the roof angle on the end panels . It cuts very easy and is a breeze following lines . It can cut as fast or slow as needed . It does take a few cuts on the ridges to get the hang of it but when you do it goes great . Another happy Dewalt user , Rich .*
I've been soldering my entire life. The brits really do take it to a whole other level though. There's such an emphasis there on limiting allowable tolerances and also providing the tradesman time to do the job correctly. In the states expediency is common. Wish the trade was more respected here.
@@kyleCAfire i think because majority of jobs there are slate or tile and life expectancy is at least 50 years, not like here shingles on 95% houses and soldering is frequently overkill
Not only is that hoist slow and limited to ridiculously small loads of debris it limits the crew production by 80% of the squares that can be completed per man hour using a crane .
This makes no sense on so many levels ,handling material twice is waste ,handling material 3 times as shown here is insane ,get a skytrak and put day 1 material on roof with the rest on ground, as day I comes to a close raise day 2 material .
