Scott Joss is a singer song writer, mostly known for his fiddle, guitar, mandolin and background vocals with Dwight Yoakam, the late great Merle Haggard and The Strangers & most recently with the legendary Kris Kristofferson. Joss released a solo album “How Far to Jordan” with Miracle Mile Records in 2018. Kris Kristofferson graciously joined him on a few of the songs - the title song, "How Far to Jordan" and "Footlights." In 2020, Scott was nominated for induction into The National Fiddler Hall of Fame. This was held on October 22, 2021 at the Mabee Center in Tulsa, OK & Kris Kristofferson came out of retirement to present Scott w/ his award and sing Why Me, Lord.

First time I've seen Scott in a number of years. His hair is great. I watched him hundreds of times with "The Hag." Always the professional. Thanks for sharing the Vid. Nothing left to be said about Kris. Only so many times you can praise a man.

@@scottjossfan624 I was The drummer for Dennis Barney Scott Joss on fiddle my friend Ron Burnett on bass helped me get the job, l think the club was called Southern comfort Sacramento CA . Awesome country swing band. Scott introduced me to his girlfriend, Judy, that's why I think it was the same woman. I lost contact with Scott about 30 years ago. I know about his career with Haggard and Dwight yoakam. Maybe somebody could say hi that has good contact with Scott and we could have a good conversation about Elko Nevada LOL.

Thank you for posting this video, it's honestly one of my favorite performances by Kristofferson. It's a little sad knowing he's mostly retired from the public eye but he still took the time to give Willie and his fans two deep, vulnerable and poignant performances. Also thanks again, I hadn't seen this angle before.
