After leaving the church for 15 years, my son bought me a beautiful rosary and gave it to me as a gift. I began praying the rosary again and the more I prayed, the more I was led back again to our Lord. Through Mary to Jesus...the truth❤. Thank you, Blessed Mother for leading me back home. Amen
Mary our Heavenly Mother always points us to Jesus. Jesu gave us His mother at Calvary. What a great joy Mary was to all of Jesus friends. They loved her she was especially with them when the Holy Spirit came. All of Heaven exceedingly rejoiced when Mary was assumed into Heavenly. Please God Jesus Mary and Joseph will welcome us. It is great to be looking forward that. In the meantime we say Jesus,Mary and Joseph we love you save souls, souls in the whole world and souls in purgatory.
In God we believe we are loved with an everlasting love. In God’s eyes we are loveable we are part of God’s family. Thank you Jesus that we can accept ourself. He is an awesome God and we say we trust in Him and want to be willing surrender ourselves into your hands.
Father God l don’t like the sufferings I have in my life right now put l want to trust you to bring good out it. Everywhere l lack Provide for me oh God my Father. You are full of goodness and compassion.
We need to be able to say no to maintain balance. If we keep in mind that we are a spiritual work in progress and maybe the Holy Spirit may prompt us to say yes. We need rest too and ask the Lord to help us have a good nights sleep. Thank you Fr. Patrick. Keeping balanced is important to look at.
Jesus said to Sr. Faustino “Your desire to become a saint pleases me. He wants us to now to desire Him. He gave us the example to follow. Life was difficult for Jesus but He endured it because of the Father’s love for Him and for all creation. What motivates us? We know we cannot go it alone.Knowing other people lived to please God despite their setback gives us the courage to say we can put God first because He worth living for. Lord Jesus keep me focused, and giving us strength for the journey.
I think if l have the habit of saying and meaning “Thank and praise you Jesus “ when things are going well. Lord if things are more difficult please may I remember to say “Thank and praise Jesus because you will bring good out of that circumstance. Help me trust your wisdom and kindness.
To give thanks in all circumstances. That prayer was very slow in coming. Even though my mood got slightly better my circumstances didn’t improve. I felt isolated. I got a book “Power in praise” by Marlin Corothers so her and there l would say Praise and Thank you Jesus. The more I said that prayer the less l was focusing on my mood . I started to feel uplifted and saying praise and thank you became a joy to say, I started reading the odd psalms and saw life wasn’t easy for King David. He wrote his troubles to God he felt encouraged doing that and faith hope and love for God gave him courage. Thank you Jesus for your healing love.
When 1 move house and had a new baby my friend thought by recommending 1 Thessalonians 5 verse 16 l would be encouraged. I was suffering with depression at time and even though felt l should be rejoicing l wasn’t. I eventually said a prayer that comforted me. “Lord l offer myself to you, to build with me and use me as you will. Relieve me of the bondage of myself so that victory over them may bear witness to your love, your power and your way of life.
Jesus is our ever present help in times of trouble. He knows what it is like to be left alone in his suffering but He still says to us “Come to me all you are weary and l will rest.” He is for us no matter what is going on. Thank you Lord that Your love casts out our fear.

While listening to you Fr Patrick, you reminded me of a prayer a used to say 40 yrs ago.True, strong and loving God teach me to see things as they really are. To accept myself and surrender myself to your wise and powerful love. I thank and praise you Jesus.
Jesus can use people like St Ignatius who also say from the heart “ l have no one but you Lord. That belief can make us hopeful. Despite the weaknesses in our life the Lord Jesus can move in with His grace so that we too can pass on blessing. Life is short Life is not always about this world. We are created by God with Heaven in mind for us.He is not finished with us yet. Thank you Fr Patrick for your sincere homily.
Wonderful verse of God’s words. Dear Jesus help us walk with You and remind us that Your grace will give us strength. Thank you Fr Patrick. Pope John Paul gave us example of relying on God’s strength. In Joshua l v9 says “Remember that l have commanded you to be determined and confident “ Jesus was us to step out in confidence and believe He will strengthen us for the task ahead. Thank you Jesus for your grace is sufficient. I desire to trust You. Bring me through this day.
Again this homily has me asking how do l pray when l am feeling down.The serenity prayer is my way to bring God into my difficulties. I cannot fix myself . Oh Jesus you know know me better than l know myself help me.
Tha you Fr Patrick , what a encouraging psalm 116 and the way you shared on it. I needed it. At lst l thought 14min , l’ll go for a much shorter sharing My final words to the world John Lennox. He showed us we need to appreciate God’s word and take it heart. Then another clip came up that l hadn’t time to listen to. Interview with Stephen Fry called “they say God is evil”Thank God l have the grace to believe in His goodness. The lack of formation and encouragement of the laity by the clergy since vatican II and the lack of understanding byvthe clergy regarding chapter 4 of LG is tragic. Only know out of desperation do the clergy seem interested in the theology of the laity.
