I actually think that the HotA team should patch the duel maps with movement speed. Instead of 12 being the top bonus, maybe it should give incremental (but minor) increases all the way up to 24 (Phoenixes + artifacts that boost speed). I think that this would--at the very least--make the nerf to Logistics (which used to be 10%, 20%, 30%) fairly interesting. :) I mean, obviously, this wouldn't always work out that well, but you never know when a clever player could figure out how to use a Phoenix, AA, Azure, etc. plus arties to their advantage when "staying overnight for the speed bonus". Also, freakin' GARRISONS should be around every now and again. Maybe even the "no magic permitted" ones! :D Not only for choke points, but also for places to max out speed, or even to force a "no magic finalka". Also also... on certain challenge duel maps... why not require players to visit border guards prior to doing X, Y, or Z? Possibly even for breaks. Lots of interesting possibilities! :)
I was wondering, as a super casual pve player, how do you change the hero-window to be like that? Getting to see the hero, attributes, skills, units etc. all in one window under the end turn button. Already playing with hota, is there something I have to activate? is it a separate mod?
It's only for the viewers. :) Lexi never sees the miniature hero stats screen unless he enters it in-game. Granted, it would be super interesting if the HotA team incorporated another one of those "Alt-[keyboard stroke]" things for that lower right window during gameplay so that players COULD see it! :) Also... I resonate with ya! I'm no competitive HoM&M3 player, but believe it or not, I've been following JVC & NWC's games since it was all "King's Bounty" and "Might & Magic I-VI" (etc.). To this day, I STILL open up DosBox and load in my Xeen hero characters to play through Lightside & Darkside. The music is simply TOO GOOD to miss.

Great play by Biomhammer, breathing his own units to unblind them with the pheonix. Sacrificing for aged manticores to resurrect more of them, a tactical use of game mechanics to one's advantage.
I like the little hints, like Raelag saying he has experience bargaining with demons and prophets, or Shadya saying she is profficient and deceit and seduction. Still not a very ambitious story overall but definetely had some love put into it.
Honetly I think that finalka is the main part of these episodes, so you could try to think of the name for these videos around what is happening in the final fight. I think "ONE power finalka win" or something, would be more insteresting than something about CALH and his gogs, while you didn't have even 1 at the end. Of course that's just my personal opinion, I usually just skip to the final fight, that's why.

Kinda sucks that they completely redesigned the dragon in h6 and 7 instead of building off of this one which IMO is by far the coolest looking dragon in the series

as soon as i saw the tile i was expecting something like this - BUT MAN - THIS WAS THE WORST GAME LEXI has played fuckin forever... SO SO SO BAD 1. Not taking wood when playing CASTLE?! 2. Skipping angels day 7 like an idiot 3. losing random troops and getting bad skills because you don't have wood... It's like supporting your football team and they lost 4-0 and all goals are own goals wtf :)) bro, just go sleep when playing like this :(

I understand why older fans really dislike Dark Elves because they kind of hijacked a faction that had nothing to do with them, but damn they are fun to play. And even though I hate H6 I gotta say the creature lineup for Dungeon in it is probably one of my favorite lineups of any faction in any game of the series.
Dark elves have by far the hardest and most time consuming early game out of all factions in h5. You really need to do precise movement on every battle to not lose anything. Every casualty is very severe since dung pop growth is really low. Even though they have the strongest 1-2 units in the game, they aren't that strong early on. You need to accumulate some mass to get them going. On finalkas their units are also fairly easy to counter. Assasins dont do sh*t in range combat, even with sorta high hp pool they aren't that vital. Vitality is fairly often seen in vanilla (not sure how about 5.5. tho) and affects low tier units drastically. Battle frenzy same story. tier2s however are strongly countered with corrupted soil since they take double damage from it - firstly from charge, secondly from comeback. Stalkers and t6s alternative are also affected by this skill and it is a great counter to dungeon overall (only dragons are flying here). Later on Dungeon is worse and worse every month passed, since destructive magic damage curve is less and less effective the more units are on battlefield. Summonning magic is a good alternative, but again - prolongs the early fights and isnt that strong later on against other heroes. its perfect against AI, but not here. Thats a main reason why older fans dislike dark elves. For me personally, its a faction to avoid. Competive-wise this faction can surprise, but on very deep conditions such as no limitations in terms of spells, its a good faction to choose because of fairly good primary skill % chances and % chance for strong skills in the skillwheel.

Heroes 6-7 is not garbage after the patches and expansions also with the great mods of H7 Ressurection mod or Heroes 7.5 mod . Ressurection is even more Heroes 3-5 feeling and some 6 then ever. And more balanced now than H3-H5 many partrs like Sylvan-Elven archers are so OP there. In H7 not. And ton of things are in it 120 skillss where you can choose or you can set random skills what you want. Also you can choose from 2 Tier 7 units per town. And every Magic school is really great useful if you use it well of course. In H3, H5 not always. Also you can choose a magic school in mage guild from the 7 type of magic schools. We had many exciting battles in our Heroes 7 tournament with RADMIN VPN program on Lan mode you can play online. H3, H5 is good too also but not as balanced, bvaried tactzicval and exciting final battles than in H6-7. In H6 tournament i had a 40 minutes battle when only 1 Cycklopes remained at my enemy :) In 2019 and i remember to it today it was a lovely battle! If you didnt tried aftzer patches expansions and mods as HOTA is now too in better condiiton, please not comment please rubbish things unwisely on TWITCH chat. Please. Campaigns of Heroes 4-5-6 may be the best. H7 campaigns are more similar to H3-4 i think. But not as good in story as H4-5-6 . Also H5 Iniative ATB bar system is weird because many troops can act 4 times in a row or in turn. In Other Heroes games is the same H3 system just in H6-7 with initaive not the damn OP bad speed system which is NONE since 2005 in ANY Heroes or Heroes like game! Logically they didnt use it its so OP You can fly or move everywhere at once in H3 :D. Heroes 6-7 are Prequels of Heroes V so if you play all of the campaigns of the trilogy it will have a wider scope! Story is H6-H7-H5-Dark Messiah IN 5.5 mod you can hear all of Heroes 6 reused rearranged (H3-H5) musics almost.
