Hello! My name is Jess and I love doing diy TINYHOUSES projects and staying in cute and unique tiny homes throughout Florida. My tiny adventures began a couple yrs ago when I purchased an unfinished float home & began completing the DIY build w/o any experience. I then gained summer building confidence and built a micro tiny house on wheels as well as a bus to tiny home conversion. Hurricane Ian ripped through and changed my WHOLE life retirement plans of running then as airbnbs by destroying them completely aside from my Skoolie. I have since renovated 2 campers and restarted my vacation rental business
Question, when u drill into the roof of the bus doesnt it come out of the other side since its so thin? Im making a shuttle bus conversion myself and havent got to this part yet but its coming up and i cant get and idea on what im going to do because it seems so thin and the idea of having a bunch of screws sticking out of it and causing water leaks is scary
@@uzis4life on my specific shuttle bus it was about 2 inches thick. There was the outer layer of fiberglass and then a honeycomb type of insulation in the middle and then the thin exterior layer of whatever your shuttlebus is made out of. I just used shorter screws so that it wouldn’t poke through the top
Meanwhile...I just literally found you today... Loving your videos and adventures. I wondered if you both managed to get the rest of all your stuff out of the tiny house. So many sweet thing's. I'll try to catch up. Just felt to wish you well. If a developer does buy that property...they may be in for a surprise! God works in mysterious ways 💚🙏💌
@@lalani888blue hey! Glad to have you here! We did get everything removed from the property and exciting news. Has just happened a few weeks ago ago. They got rid of the minimum square footage so tiny houses are now allowed.!! I’m super excited and have lots in store! 😃 glad to have you here 🫶🏻
Looking forward to see more content from you. Fascinating post, Florida Chicks Tiny AdventureS. I clicked the thumbs up icon on your creation. Keep up the solid work.
Im so sad but happy for U . I wanted a stay in that bus . Wasnt meant to be .. Love U ❤️ slow down lady lol .... c ya soon trying to make down sooner then later . Love U Bunches Jess
This sucks but I was wondering how you could do this. I am Florida native and it’s gotten so overrun with Karen’s everywhere ! I’m in Putnam and people are doing it until someone sticks their nose in others business. Anyway after. Saw your micro tiny house video and you would Airbnb I was on my way!!!! I love your place and hope you found a solution. I will be binge watching your videos !
You guys just keep creating your visions!!😀 Hard work but its so fun to watch the transformations!!✨😎❤️ Donny you are a great sport..all the situations you get into☺️👍🏼❤️
Making good progress. I was skeptical of Donny being able to salvage those closets, they looked very flimsy plus their age. Considering they were coming out anyway it was worth a shot! Duck duck GOOSE! 😂 At least Donny didn't react and bang his head, lol. 😅 Thanks for the update!
@@floridachickstinyadventures I don't like the message I get when I click on the link so I haven't gone to the web page when I click the link I get " Website status: Risky do not advance"

Awesome work!! I just bought some land out in Ocala and have the plan to buy a shed and convert it into a tiny cabin. It would be 'off grid' since there are no utilities on the property.. I would like to rent it out on AirBnb. I am nervous to even start investing into this new idea because getting in touch with code enforcement as well as the county on what I can and can not do has been awful!! anyway i love your videos!! super inspirational, great ideas and very entertaining. Thanks for creating :)
Whenever those people bust a window they have to destroy their entire wall to access the frame to remove. What I did was take the Luan wood that had the vinyl covering and repurposed it. I insulated in the gaps after removing the windows, upholstered the 1/8 wood with waterproof marine vinyl, self tapping screws (also repurposed) in hidden areas where you won’t see them, with PL adhesive, reinstall windows. I think people use wood furring because they see everyone else doing it on school buses, and it’s easier to screw into than metal. But shuttle bus manufacturers use self tapping screws so I did the same
