It creeps me out seeing single men and man couples with no kids taking these Disney cruises. It's should be banned. No man without a child should be on that ship. Especially seeing all the PDFile employees getting busted in 2024.
It maybe a dream job but they are not for anyone. If your passion and perseverance is not there you will be a drop out sooner or later. This applies to all the jobs in this world.
okay im getting tired of hearing "you don't get days off" from different people with a half smirk like "yeah fml ha ha" i really want to know what that actually means how can you work all hours of the day?
honestly I think these jobs don't make sense for Americans, Europeans or any country with high currency, for me who live in South America I wouldn't receive the salary they offer on land at all so it's VERY worth it, maybe for that reason they hire a lot here
I am so glad you made this video, I worked 3 years as a cruise ship musician on Carnival… First contract was a 3 month contract and since it was a 3 & 4 day ship contract it felt like what you describe Second contract was a 4 month contract that got extended to a 7 month contract because of a production show install The 3rd contract was a fill in for a 8 day cruise and I did so well I was offered a 4 month contract on the same ship I got carpel tunnel at the end of all of this.
Hello!! your speech is amazing and so true. Thanks for sharing , and I hope you are doing something you love right now, I wish you the best. I'm also taking a break from cruise ship jobs , for "all" the reasons you have mentioned and I'm considering new horizons...let's see...take care !
I had to rewatch your video to convince myself not to go back onboard. One year (ish) ago I joined DCL for what ended up being my one and only contract… I loved my job, a lot, even though, as you said, I wasn’t given any space for taking ownership on Guest related matters. In my case I left because of the toxic environment. I had horrible colleagues, like really horrible. Manager were aware, hotel director same, nothing happened, NOTHING. I miss it, I feel like I haven’t accomplished what I wanted to but do I really want to go back onboard? No, thanks
I totally understand that feeling. It's easy to romanticize the good times on the ship. I'm glad I recorded the hard moments to remember how much I struggled. My partner recently lost his job and considered going back too, but he actually enjoyed his job. I don't regret it, but I don't want to repeat it. Best of luck to you!
@@RaisaLynn it is so easy indeed! If it wasn’t for my partner, whom I missed so much while onboard, I’d probably gone back already just to regret it right after embarking the ship… Best of luck to your partner
Thanks for sharing! You live together as a group of neurodivergent people? That's so cool and interesting, hope you make more videos about what that's like
Wow great! Itsnot okly disney there are way worst crusie lines than disney! I have the worst experience living and working on a 27year old ship...wow the amount of work u do and somtimes u need to work in ur break time..the food the management the lifestyle everything is miserable on a ship
Jocat, One Shot Quips, and xp To Level 3 are those i usually watch to gain new information or just have something to watch. i started playing in september last year and now i play like once or twice a week, the players handbook is a good book to have, and you can easily find videos about how to make a character sheet and spell sheet, its complicated but so easy once you figure it out. Find a group to play and have fun with. btw, dont play the ranger.
It is a little overwhelming to start, so I'm sure I'll get the hang of it after playing a few times. Do you feel comfortable with your character after 4 months? My big issue is remembering all the rules and quirks to my character.
Such a cute video/idea and so wholesome! 🤩💙👏🏻 I hope you continue something like this, "your journey through TTRPGs" haha! Congratulations and may the dice be ever in your favor! 🎉
Excellent and kudos to you for going out and trying it. I'm not sure I'd have the energy to throw myself into a new thing, let along try and vlog about it 😆 I still like the old editions, you get used to the rules and already own the books/ the used book market is great.
Thanks, I also don't love not being good at things, let alone documenting that, but everyone I've talked to about the game has been so kind and inclusive of me in the space. I'm enjoying learning by both watching and doing myself, so I'm sure over time I'll find my own preferences too.
Could you work as Disney Cruise Crew if you have a faith? If you like to go off the ship once a week for Mosque on Friday, Synagogue on Saturday or Church on Sunday... can you do that? ...or are there services on the cruise ship, and if so, can you as crew attened?
There is no guarantee of time off the ship as a crew member, but I'm fairly sure there are no rules preventing anyone from practicing their faith on the ship, so long as it doesn't interfere with business operations. There are no official services (to my knowledge) but I imagine you could find other crew that also practice and do so together on your own time. Hope that helps!
Are crew memebers allowed to enter in friends cabin or boyfrurnd and girlfriend? Do crew memebers have relationship with their colleagues?? My girlfriend is on disney dream inda suspicious about her
Crew are allowed to visit other crew cabins (with permission of course). There is a large hook-up culture in ship life in general. So yes, many crew do end up dating each other. If you have an issue trusting your partner while she is away, I would suggest communicating that with her and working on your insecurities.
@@RaisaLynn i guess u are right the reason why i asked cause she is on dream she came down for vacation all of a sudden she started tallking about this bartender guy kudero saying his just a friend and she switched up so quick she acts different and forget i supported her through it all n i helped her in so many ways i think sum is up so im jus laying low n trying to see if they got sum going on fr
TTTYYY!! so good to see all of the little odds and ends that give the cabin a sort of "homie" vibe.. I'm packing for Disney Fantasy rn. Keep it real Ri 👋
What a great edit Ri. I feel it's hardest to document yourself like this. I think too much about what to show/ not show. I love the Pixar Moose Ball pillow
Thanks so much! It definitely took more effort. Writing a script is one thing, but this felt like directing a short film almost. & that pillow is one of my favorites too. It's seen fluffier days though, lol.
Upon the terrible working conditions the cruise ship workers deal with, their coverup of the girl that disappeared on the disney wonder in 2011, caused me to do all that I can to not financially support disney,
Hmm not quite, try; took a job expecting to be treated like an adult, did the job for a year and a half, completed my final contract on good terms, didn’t sign another one, and then shared my personal experience once it was over 🤷🏼♀️
I sailed 40 times on DCL and I was wondering why the theater was closed and playing noise at 2 am with nothing scheduled but also my 1820s counselor leaked that crew parties go on because he had to leave our meeting to host it lol
