J'étais présent à ce concert ! Nous avions rencontré James, kirk et Jason après le concert, derrière la salle, et sommes repartis avec des dédicaces, excellents souvenirs, merci.
I hitched to Swansea for this concert from Birkenhead :-) I remember been blown away when they went into Baba O`Reilly. Also will never forget SAHB who also played that day.....oh Alex you are missed. Alex dedicated SAHB`s Vambo Rules to the lads banged up in Swansea jail behind The Vetch. Also a big shout to my mate Mr Norman Edge, fellow traveller, who received a flying cider bottle and was knocked out prior to the Who`s performance :-) This ones for you Norm wherever you are.
I went to this concert, I was only 17 at the time but was already a massive Dire Straits fan, it was one of the most amazing mind blowing experiences in my life, my friends and myself were about 1/4 back in the crowd, we pushed our way to the front for a while then made our way back to where we were to allow others to get a chance to get a look from the front. During one song huge flood lights lit up the whole crowd I'm a bit taller so could see across the crowd, I remember turning around and looking across the sea of people lit up mind blown, it was the most amazingly good vibe in the crowd, joints just being passed around amongst strangers, everyone smiling, at the end it took hours to get out and get to our cars. I'm so glad I went to it as a 55 year old now it is and will always be a highlight memory from my life.

It was a hot summer afternoon, way back in 1986, when I went into the now-defunct Lojas Mesbla record store, together with my father and received this album as a gift. Since then, it has always been in my TOP 10 of all time, and it remains at the top of my list. Dire Straits' best album in my opinion, showing the full strength of this iconic band. Long live Rock and Roll and Dire Straits!!
I was lucky enough to see Clapton do Mainline Florida with George Terry on the 461 ocean boulevard and EC was here tour. Freddie King opened in Shreveport LA. That was the best.
