Ryobi isn’t worth it if it’s daily use… my Milwaukee extended 3/8ths ratchet has been killin it for the last 4 years 5 days a week on the original battery (full time mechanic)
I would love to have another dog but it was my work schedule and everything I don't have the time or means to take care of a dog the way it should be taken care of it wouldn't be fair to the dog
Yeah I feel really bad for the Golf owner. He was just out there trying to enjoy the meet. And I do feel bad for the Camaro owner... I mean we've all made dumb decisions... But he should have known better. Is what it is, though. But yeah that meet was huge! There's going to be an even bigger one coming up next month!
When I road trip in the US, I get those little packs of crackers which have bits of cheese in them, the ones with Pepperjack cheese in them are my favourite. We don't get those here but they're great to have on road trips.
I had no idea thats where mountain dew was started, that's awesome to know let me know how that fried chicken was that looked pretty good surprisingly.
I've not actually tried it yet... I'm actually going to as soon as I get back home. I had to take a trip out to the Future job this morning... I haven't actually started yet. But I didn't get to eat the sandwich like I had wanted to for breakfast, so I guess it'll be lunch, now. 😂 But I will definitely let you know how it was. It looks surprisingly good and it's big and heavy.
Headers are a custom made replica of the Stillen header with minor modifications. No actual test piles, but cats have been removed and replaced with straight pieces of pipe going into the Megan catback. Soon to be replaced by megan test pipes and a HKS catback. 🤫
To be honest, I don't remember. The original owner had the headers made. I have the paperwork from them, somewhere in a big tote of paperwork he gave me when I bought the car. I'll have to look.
Gotta love those tps bolts and a water logged ecu haha, did it have the majestic things in the back (aiming tools) out of curiosity what did they charge for a bumper.
That bottom TPS bolt was either stripped or somebody had used loctite on it because it would not come out for anything. Both my 8 mm and my screwdriver kept slipping on it. It was pretty disappointing getting the wooden cover off and finding the ECU and the transmission control module and everything else sitting in a puddle of water. I meant to grab the gauge cluster... I guess I'll grab it when I go back. I'm going to go back and grab the headlights one way or another if I have to cut them out. I didn't find any of the headlight aiming tools or tire kit in the back but I've got dozens of those sitting on a shelf anyway. They originally wanted like 100 bucks for that bumper because it was aftermarket bumper even though it was in pitiful shape and I had talked the girl down to $80 plus tax and I asked her how much that would be because for some reason I can't calculate basic math in my head when my back is hurting and she said it would be around $85. Turned out to be $87.60 but Scott was good with that so I grabbed it and took it over to him. He's going to make an effort to fix it.
I used to find them all the time and now they're getting kind of rare to find. I really just wish this one wasn't better shape so I could have grabbed more stuff off of it. This one is probably the roughest one I found in a yard.
Still learning on how to do all this youtube stuff. 😂 Hopefully I get the hang of it. But, unfortunately, I don't think I'll be doing quite what I had hoped with it. Or not as much, anyway. My back and stuff keep getting worse and I'm pretty limited to what I can do these days. :(
Definitely! I'm working on using a clap board and multiple cameras to get everything in sync for when I do the engine video. I'll also use the little snake cam to go down inside it before I actually tear it down.
I believe he has both. Not sure. As for the new toy, nothing that expensive. I already have a car lift, though. Just not bolted down and no electricity hooked up at that building. They've got to drop a pole and run a wire.
A little under 6 foot, I'd say. Maybe 5'9". Hard to say. Pretty clan car. Few paint runs and orange peel. Could probably be fixed with a good cut and buff. Interior was super nice.
Thank you Josh. Being a Brit and getting over to the US for quite a number of Z shows, I've never done ZDayZ. It's a shame I couldn't get out there this year. Despite not owning a Z anymore, I still love the scene in the US (pretty hopeless in the UK). This video brought back some great memories of Z events gone past. Love the narration too. Keep it up!
If you come over in May for ZdayZ next year, you're more than welcome to ride along with me or even drive if you want to! The new venue is way better than down at the Tail of the Dragon. The Blue Ridge Parkway is absolutely gorgeous and the roads are a lot more fun, as well.
37k miles on the Corvette. Runs & drives. Sat outside most of its life. Was my mom's. Been trying to get it in the garage forever. I've got all new interior for it.
Dude the not working on the car, I felt that. I hurt my back and couldn't work on my car due to the pain for a year and a half and even after that I had to take breaks in between. I'm glad to see you working on it again
Dude, there were so many ants it was unreal... I just wish I would have had the camera rolling when I first opened it up. It was like watching water when you pull the flood gates. They just came pouring out, everywhere. After I came back in the house, I found them in my shoes as I started taking everything off to change. They were crawling all over me, still. It was terrible. 😂
Not too sure. I've asked several people about it. They've all said the people who own it live across the creek from it. Their bridge washed out, so they just parked it there and walked across. One day it wouldn't start... So it just sat.
Great video man, I may have the taillight relay if you didn't already get one. How well did the krylon match when you did it? Look forward to the progress you make with this car and if I may ask what did the body shop quote you for the re spray.
The Krylon paint was almost a dead perfect match. Once I sprayed clear over it and cut & buffed it, you couldn't tell a difference. Yeah, if you don't care... Check and see if you have one of those. I believe it's a rusty brown color. Let me know! Thanks, man!
I have the same year. I had it sitting for 11 years because I moved out if state. Just shipped it to Houston tx yesterday and it looks like yours on the outside. How does underneath look?
Underside of the car is the same as the day I parked it except for one spot where the trip drain got clogged. There was a rust spot the size of a quarter that's now expanded so large that I can get both fists into the hole. Soon to be cut out and replaced with a patch from a donor car.
@@JBfrom423I have a ton of surface rust but no holes. I have tons of work to do. For a NA I'm not sure if the money will be worth it. About to drain and replace all fluids, bleed system and check fuses. See if she's starts. Hec I may get lucky but 11 years is a long time. Lol
Thanks! Been sick since I posted the last video and haven't had a chance to touch the car. Hopefully this coming weekend I'll have it 100% back to normal.
Hell yeah dude, was looking forward to the videos. I even checked yesterday to see if anything was uploaded and checked to see that the notifications we're on. Looked like there was a decent turn out. Definitely try to get to that interior to clean the mold off. What spoiler and skirts did you go with?
Yeah, been having a lot of trouble trying to upload both from my phone and my laptop. Not sure what's going on. Pretty good turn out, but by the time everyone got there it was too dark to really record anything. I ended up going with a Twinz front lip, Ionic Dynamics '99 rep sideskirts to match the front bumper, and an old school Kaminari wing. Same as what the SR-71 300ZX has. Hopefully, I'll be able to get my hands on a TwinZ diffuser, too. Also bought a set of wheels and tires. Not sure how they'll fit. Definitely not the ones I wanted, but a buddy had them for sale... And for the price... I couldn't pass them up. I'll probably end up buying the ones I wanted later on, anyway. Lol
@@shanesgarage1105 I've been trying to find one of those spoilers for a long time... No luck. But my 2nd hand TT wing is falling apart and needs replaced. I was going to order an ionic Dynamics spoiler but the kaminari sort of fell into my lap. As for the wheels... They're some ESR Sr11 something. Wasn't really wanting to run rep Wheels but these were at deland helped my homeboy out... So I snatched them up. Not sure if I'll actually use them or not. If they fit I probably will just to get the juice out of them. 18x9.5+35F235/40 18x10.5+22R.255/40. going to be a tight fit but I'm only on lowering springs so fingers crossed.
@@JBfrom423 yeah man thats awesomeand I wish I could find deals on z parts, ill send you a picture of my car when I had a 2 inch drop on 18x10 +25 with a 255 35
I'm glad you made this channel, I look forward to the videos to come. Stay motivated man. As for the 99 in the yard does it still have the home link and (doubt it but) is it a vr4 with the combat spoiler?
@@shanesgarage1105 I'll definitely be featuring it in an upcoming video. Before the video releases, and soon as I can get signal, I'll do my best to remember to send you pix and details of the car. If you'd like to make it out there before I do, it's at Rusty's Pull-A-Part in Marion, NC.
@@JBfrom423 yeah I dont think I'd make it there anytime soon, but if you dont mind keeping me updated on it you can message me on here or Facebook. I appreciate it man
@@shanesgarage1105 you got it! If there's anything you're looking for, I'll keep an eye out. They also have a '96 SL. I can send you a link to their parts pricing on FB. I forget what their local tax is, but it's not bad.
