It’s so great to see Lecrae and Dee-1 get their moment in the light. Not many people know their music so its great them getting a shout out for people to explore new music
Bro! I don't ever comment on YT, but you got me too! Hear me out, will ya? Broccoli leading into Euphoria? 616 follow by Watch The Party? Could you possibly make that a thing?
Illmatic got bootlegged heavily... I agree with Rory as far as GKMC impact... from 2004-2011 the game was brutal to lyricists... ringtone rappers were winnin'
Yeah the music scene has its moments. Everyone was enjoying the drake sound until it got over used and boring. Now we back to lyricists and maybe the west coast sound
@@RoryNMal Kendrick imo gets better with every album. So for a "best to worst" list, just reverse his discography and boom - there's my opinion. TPAB holds a special place in my heart just because of Brainfeeder's heavy hand in that album, and a lot of people like to downplay DAMN because it's not woke enough but it's easily Kendrick's most lighthearted album.
@@STOPPEDINCOLORADO i aint mad with that. Mr Morale is a sick album and the live show was amazing too. I would go GKMC, Mr Morale, DAMN, TPAB, Section 80. My all time fave involving kendrick is the black panther album but dont think we can include that as Kendricks
The brown boy really arguing with a wall, when most Kanye fans will tell you Best album is generational It’s either college dropout Graduation TLOP Or Donda - KSG MBDTF is only carried by runaway and most fans are gonna listen to that when other Kanye projects are consistent and offer more. Look online and the conversation has shifted too MBDTF is a alright sub par album with the best Minaj & Ross song
I’m not gonna lie I was shocked that they even put those two albums in the same category. Like obviously if you said College Dropout or Late Registration I would be cool. People can prefer those over GKMC and I wouldn’t think that was strange. But that album was a hot mess to me
It was impactful because at the time drake kayne and Wayne were at the top with more popish albums but Wayne still got bars and lyrics but was more of a pop artist music like jeezy and ti were rap but not all that lyrically I will say after good Kidd madd city dropped more artist stepped up there pen game j Cole got better logic Joey baddass dropped projects and just in general for the next 4-5 years lyricism was brought back to the mainstream
@@EIite. Not sure you know how music works my friend. Helping him with 5 songs is one thing, but piggybacked off his entire sound and calling it his own is another. He's been doing it his entire career. I'm not saying Drake isn't talented, but let's keep it a buck and call it what it is.
@@RoryNMal A classic album for me is an album that has zero skips and timeless records. Meaning, I can still listen to the albums without feeling embarrassed by the subject matter the artist chose regardless of how old I am. By those standards, I'd say no. Drake's music is a moment in time that passes the more mature you get. He's talented, but dated. Not sure how one reaches a certain age and takes themselves seriously while still listening to his music.
I dont listen to the beatles much so i can say how good they are but bob marley is da goat. His sounds still get sampled and referenced all the time. He has timeless music
dude spend time discussing content that you love and that inspires you, don't use that time to shit on and under play content that has made serious change in people's lives and that has inspired people.
I agree with Rory. GKMC is has an Illmatic type of impact for his Generation. Just like Illmatic GKMC but you in the eyes of a young man tryna make and takes the listener for a ride. It's not just the lyrics but the overall storytelling and musical choices. That joint is 🔥. Where does it land in history? It's hard to say but it is one to add to the upper tier hip hop albums.
Bro they so mad. It’s still on billboard 12 years later it’s STILL ON BILLBOARD! Still! That’s 600 plus weeks! No album has ever! That feat alone put it where it’s at. Mal is Mal he can’t help it
Beatles may be a little overrated. I didn't care for their pop rock stuff but when they began taking psychedelics, that sh*t was fire. If you say they are just bubblegum pop, you haven't listened to them enough. They're thinking of sh*t like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". The song "Yellow Submarine" was dumb though. Ringo got so high he started singing. 😂 For Pop rock though, Beach Boys were better edit: Apple did okay for a mainstream list. My list would contain a bunch of stuff no ones heard but Kanye may have heard
