Here in Texas we have State Bill HB250 which says "Sec.A72A.001.A AN INJURY TO PROTESTOR. (a) A person operating a motor vehicle who injures another person with the motor vehicle is not liable for the injury if, at the time of the injury: (1)A. The person operating the motor vehicle was exercising due care; and (2)A. The person injured was blocking traffic in a public right-of-way while participating in a protest or demonstration." If the protestor remains in place and continues to move in front of your vehicle after being requested to move and subsequently being physically removed, they are now considered "physically impeding the free movement of a person." Detaining someone or "impeding their right to free movement" is a violation of the 1st and 5th Amendments of the US Constitution can be considered kidnapping. After requesting being allowed to pass and still being physically denied free movement, it can be considered aggravated kidnapping and the citizenry can use any means necessary to elude an attempt at kidnapping. Also, as guaranteed by our 2nd Amendment with proper training and certification, one can legally carry a firearm. And usage of any means necessary to elude kidnapping is within one's Constitutional rights. As such, we have very few incidents of traffic protests in Texas. Have a nice day!
