You were doing pretty good controlling the raft in that swift water. Makes me want to get a raft but I know it aint as easy as you make it look! Great video and great fishing! Keep it up! JD
Thanks! I’m still a newbie to the raft rowing world, but learning! Rowing the raft has been a lot of fun, and for the rivers I fish, it’s usually class 1 and 2, so anyone could do it! Appreciate it!
Did you know that a plane landed on Greers ferry dam thinking it was the local airport? This was a night landing, and the airport didn’t have lights, but the roadway across the dam is lined with lights at night that are low to the roadway. The pilot thought this was the runway.
Great video! I have a few questions. What did you use for a map to figure out your way points? Would you recommend 3 or 4 days? Any trouble getting across the White to Riley's? Thanks in advance
Thank you! I use onX maps. Regarding how many days, it kind of depends on how much fishing you want to do, water levels, hanging out camp, etc.. I personally like 4 days. That’s about 6 miles a day, gives you plenty of time to fish, set up camp, and not be rushed. We had no problem at all getting across to Riley, but water was low and not generating much of Bull Shoals. It will vary depending on how much they are generating out of Bull Shoals and Buffalo water levels
Dogs run loose on these rivers all the time and are not lost, had one hang out with us for awhile and move along he was actually on a hunt and treed some animal down stream.
I recommend calling Dally’s fly shop in Cotter before you head over to the white and They can tell you better what may be working at that time and depending on the conditions
Awesome video I live at cato creek on tenkiller and I've fished the upper the lower and tenkiller my whole life, but I'm definitely checking out blue river now
He paddled over some of the best fishing water. In that warmer weather river smallmouth will move into the faster water as it's more oxygenated and cooler. Also, they can wait for the food to come to them. I've not found the slower holes to be all that productive, particularly in the warmer weather. I want some moving water.

Great video I'm form tahlequah oklahoma And I. Fish the illinois river multiple times Mostly the upper I have fished the lower a couple of times But not much I'm mostly kayak fish But I also fish the barren fork. Creak. And when I get a chance , I try to go to Caseville missouri to trout fish there too I love the fish when I can But you have a great video of the Illinois river.The same place as i've been on

was that a oklahoma shirt i saw with a broadhead lol cant wait till this sept ill be going otc elk and its crazy all the work that goes into a hunt like this. im a disabled vet and this has been a bucket list since i was a kid cant wait to get boots on the ground. finding a unit to hunt has become a daily ritual lol. great video wonderful hunt
You’re correct! We are Oklahoma flatlanders that love going in the mountains to give our best at hunting elk. We will be going during rifle season this year and cannot wait. We’ve already been going through packs and identifying spots but it’s coming quick! Best of luck to you and go get em’!
@@OutdoorHighlife im in northeast tulsa. love oklahoma hunting grounds i got a few areas in th poteau mountains and around fort smith. ducks,deer dove, got 2 hogs this weekend with a non profit veteran club hope to get a ok elk tag one year. anyway good to see some okies doing what i love.
@GrowinwithAJ You bet! I lived in Poteau for a bit and stomped around those mountains and the national forest a little bit. It’s a cool place for sure and quite a bit of public land to trek around in, especially for Oklahoma! I’m with you on the ok elk hunt. I’ve got 20 points, still hoping to draw out one day!
@@OutdoorHighlife wow 20 points. i got 0 never knew it exist. every state ive lived you buy a tag. next year im going down the list. exect there isnt otc at the end. i bet the draw get harder. what do you think is the best way to get points fast and still get a tag if you enetered every state for archery or rifle elk.
I like these boxes, I have several large ones and a medium. There are two issues I have with the large ones, the hinges and wheels. I wish the wheels were on an axle and better quality. The lid comes off the hinges if you open it all the way. Then it’s a pain to get it back on track.
A pro angler 12 would work fine. I know people that run flat bottom boats, drift boats, rafts, etc.. The water levels can fluctuate a lot depending on time of year and rainfall, so that plays a factor.
Very cool and thanks for the tour. Have you considered hanging a wood floor in it? You can also mount a bimini top on the rowing frame pretty easily. From mid-june on the sun is terrible. I hope to have a raft sorted out no later than this next spring. Right now I'm trying to sort out exactly what i want in a camping topper set up. I want a fridge and that requires power. Lol.
The floor is pretty’s solid in this raft, so probably won’t add a wood floor. I’m definitely looking at getting a Bimini top for it, especially when just toting around the family. It would probably get in the way when trying to fly fish, but for just floating, it would be nice to have one for sure! Good luck on your search! These framed rafts are a great way to go down river and have fun!
I like the look of the 17 gallon box. I wish they made a box that was half as wide as the large or medium box.... so you could stack two of the half size boxes on top or in the same space

I have a huge issue with Bog not selling replacement parts. The leg clamps are prone to breaking and usually you really don’t use it much till after warranty is up. This is not acceptable Bog! Other than that it’s an alright tripod after you put a ball head mount on it.
