From Star Wars news to satire! The Coruscant Courier exists to help you digest the world of Star Wars.
Born from their love of Star Wars, Mark, Jonathan, Dylan, and Chase (sometimes) have decided to embark on a mission of talking into a microphone....
The Force guides us to post theory videos that many others would never think of. Some say we're smart, others would just say we have a high Midi-chlorian count that even Master Yoda doesn't have.

Qimir appears to be the first apprentice of Darth Plagueis. His appearance in Qimir's cave in the series finale of The Acolyte gave me the impression that Qimir knew that Plagueis was there. As for Vanestra being Lady Lumiya....not a chance. Lady Lumiya was one of Vader's apprentices. That over 120 years after The Acolyte.
Somehow, Plagueis is alive. But fret not! Mary Sue is on the job! Kathleen "horseneck" Kennedy will ensure the strong independent wymyn will queef through space and magically somehow just take Plagueis with ease before la-dee-daaing back to whatever she was doing before. Declaring a female ruled empire by a new group of black human lesbian space witches because that is the only way to somehow make the galaxy live happy ever after or something. Didney!!!!!!
Rey has enough to deal with already, being a descendant of Palpatine. And Palpatine had already done the essence tranfer/ clone body trick in Dark Empire long before Plagueis was ever really mentioned. Plagueis surviving in any form kinda undermines all the evil Palps accomplished. I actually think Snoke's backstory should be expanded. Say he originated from an unknown part of the galaxy where the dark side had ruled for a long time and the light side was basically unknown (Knights of Ren could be their enforcers). The Jedi and Sith hadn't really ever reached this corner of the galaxy, but Palpatine did during his reign as Emperor and found some ancient ritual telling him how to (re)create Snoke. Maybe this region of space is an ancient Sith stronghold, or the dark side order that dominates it was created by a Sith after Bane that was forgotten?
We actually just saw an article on that. Unless they're intentionally misleading us...although Plagueis made Venamis call him master lol. Killed him numerous times and experimented on him
It wasn’t the presence of Plagueis, he said he felt a dark feeling lingering around him. He thought that maybe it was Plagueis. They said in canon how Palpatine returned. He used essence transfer into a host clone that was imperfect but useable.
7 , 8 , 9 all rubbish waste of time and poor scripts , characters and just toilet ………the only best thing since the originals by George Lucas is ANDOR, get rid of bob iger, Kathleen Kennedy, fire the whole lot ……wasted money …and brand.
I like to think that Sith masters actualy want to be kill becose they have a knowledge that allow them to actualy become a part of their murderer soul to become stronger...
I think they spoiled that idea back during the sequals. Acording to some of the cast. J.J was origionally going to have Snoke be reveiled to be Plagueis later on. But they dumped that idea after Johnson killed him off. They also toyed with having Ray be related to Obi-Wan before settling on Palpatine. To explain away her being so O.P. with the force with no training or real struggles. Now Im fine with them bringing back palpatine. In the E.U. Palpatine came back thru essence transfer and cloning. But They didnt really get into that in ep9 so anyone who didnt know the EU was like "WTF" Still Not going with Snoke as Plagueis in disguise was a waste. It would have been a really good Idea I think. Especially if they didnt kill him off in ep8 i dunno if they are smart/dumb enough to try and bring him into another sequal. But we do deserve to see his story on screen finally. The tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise, is that we havnt got his story.
@@coruscantcourier 100% agree. He came in like a wrecking ball and destroyed the sequals, thus forcing J.J. to cram as much fan service, cameos, random ass sub plots about lineage, and deep lore as he could into a 2.5 hr block like someone tryin to save a sinking ship. Thus in turn effing up much of the 3rd act of the sequals as well. Id have loved to see a story about Plagueis surviving unbeknownst to Palpatine, turning Anakins grandson (in a bizare case of poetic justice for the sith). Enter Fin and Ray both ending up force sensitive and they find and train under Luke. And ep9 coulda been the final showdown between Darth Plagueis and Darth Ben VS Fin and Ray, and Luke. Cuz Plaugeis is So effing powerful it takes the Grand Master and 2 jedi knights to stand up to them. Luke 1v1's plagues while FinRay battle Darth Ben the Emo. Who are getting their ass kicked by him cuz the darkside of the force is a pathway to kicking jedi ass. Luke and Plagueis mortally wound eachother during their battle. Plagueis transfers his essence into Emo Ren. And now the new jedi must fight the Sith master. THEN you get the sickass force ghost scene with all the past jedi's force ghosts and even friggen Anakin's stepping in and like vaporize Ben Plagueis, and revive Luke. (Cuz you cant kill my childhood godaamnit lol)😅 yea Im half kidding this idea is dumb too but its still better than the sequals we got
We already did a follow-up video to this. The fact is that Plagueis has the ability to move his Spirit into other bodies. It was just a theory as we had no idea what Disney was going to do. Clearly that's not the case and we are working on who Qimir really is - it will be a short that comes out today. There was actually alot of nerd Star Wars fans like us that thought he could've been Plagueis.
He still brought balance to the Force technically. Episode 9 bringing back Palpatine already opened this up so they can't really turn back unfortunately. The best ending would be Anakin appearing in the Force and ending it all - thus fulfilling his destiny as the Chosen One
@@mikedobson1678 eh, it was really Rey. Anakin wasn't really called upon, and that was a bummer. It was awful writing. But it also appeared slightly political
Plagueis wasn't interested in sprit transfer and jumping from clone to clone. He was all about immortality, and being ageless, full stop. I'm not interested in him being in any episode 10, not unless he shows no remorse and completely thrashes Rey. And in the end wins. And lets be honest, we all know that'll never happen. Since Episode 10 has Rey it doesn't need an antagonist, she can be the antagonist, and protagonist, all at the same time, because the chick is nuts. She watched as Ben killed Han his own father. And she fell in love with him. The girl fell out of her tree, she's not there. Period. I don't want Plagueis having anything to do with that Rey movie. Ben can show up as a force ghost and burn her temple down too. They can make a new baddie from scratch.I just don't want Plagueis in it, because if he is, she's out of her league, and she'll end up treating him like a punk anyway. She has no realistic chance of beating him. She barely beat Palpatine, who was tied to a chair, and they had to retcon their own lore in order to get it done. They have an imagination I'm assuming, so they can make someone new, for her righteous beat down. Edit: Also the reason why he was in the Acolyte finale was fan service, for a Season 2, which Headland realistically knows she's never getting. Because of how much she was a pain to Filoni, because Filoni, wouldn't let her do whatever she wanted to Yoda. Which was probably to make him look as corrupt as Vernestra.
Sheesh, this is well thought out. And we agree with you. If he shows up in 10 we'd need an Anakin force ghost appearance to finishing off the Sith to fulfill his destiny as the chosen one
Darth Plaguies is one of my most favorite characters in all of Star Wars but idk i just get nervous that they will screw up his character like they have with so many others
Well, as we said in the video, it's interesting timing bringing him in now with Episode 10 on the way. His spirit was felt in legends by Sidious. Almost like he cheated death or learned a way to stay alive in the force. We'll see what happens!
The issue with doing that is that the fandom would lose their minds. Darth Plagueis is considered the greatest mind in the history of the Star Wars universe. Him learning that from a lesbian coven of witches would make everyone lose their minds. I do agree that it could be interesting, but I would hope they would stay away from that kind of narrative as it would probably do more damage to the fandom at the moment
@@coruscantcourier Fair enough, I'm not really familiar with the legends stuff, outside of some references to it in Acolyte videos. Some corners of the fandom seem determined to lose their collective minds no matter what, so I'm not sure that catering to them makes sense. Anyway, appreciated your video!
There are some people that would complain if Star Wars cured cancer 🤣 Granted, we had MAJOR issues with the Acolyte but are fair and not the "haters." Gotta be objective! Super appreciate you! We'll be going LIVE in an hour and will have another video posted later
@@coruscantcourier people are saying Plaguis was only 15 at this time period. if legends serves me, Tenebrose snatched up Plagius once he was seen as force sensitive. How old was Plagius when he killed him in that mining cave in?
Plageuis never had an established age in canon though. That was purely legends. We honestly have no issue with Plagueis being older here. We do know he lived a long time cheating death...
George Lucas is as subtle as a Wookie losing a game of Holo-Chess to an R2 Unit. What Lucas was trying to accomplish was obvious, but he had too many ideas and tried haphazardly to make everything work when he needed to boil down the soup. Anakin lacking social skills is an absurd notion on all levels. The Jedi are guardians of peace, trained in diplomacy and negotiation. A Knight's lightsaber is blue (at least until the prequels messed that one up), which corresponds to the throat chakra governing speech. If Anakin is anti-social then what was Obi-Wan teaching Anakin between TPM and AOTC? The Jedi Temple was shown to have girls/women in its Order, so I can't buy into the argument there were no women around him. Anakin was shown to be quite sociable as a kid in TPM. It was part of his charm, admitted by Lucas as a cheat code to get people to sympathize with Anakin. He was better with the one liners like "space angel" as a kid than he was as a teenager. Evolution designed women to be hypergamous. There is no reason why Senator Padme would have a romantic interest in Anakin. He is younger and has no wealth. Women want providers. And I would expect vile politicians, empowered by their political factions, to look down upon the Jedi for professing material detachment since there wouldn't be any political gain from such a relationship. More importantly the one skill politicians own is the art of bloviating, capturing an audience with 0 calorie word salads. Anakin's dialogue amounted to word vomit. He was a liability to her. I checked out of the movie when he confessed to mass murdering women and children. This is what their love story is supposed to be based on? Why didn't Padme react rationally by jumping on a starship to fly across the galaxy to get away from Anakin Sandkiller? Their love story makes no sense. AOTC is filled with too many actions and baffling contradictions that defy common sense. The movie's only redeeming quality is Ewan McGregor, but "The Men Who Stare At Goats" and "Doctor Sleep" did more to make him a Jedi than all three prequels combined.

I don’t understand. At this time I thought Darth Plaguesis had just become an apprentice of Darth Tenebrous. We definitely know that he and Darth Sidious hadn’t come up with the life creation techniques because it’s like 70-80 years before Palpatine had been born so how could Plaguesis teach them? Plus we also know that Plaguesis’s birth was engineered by Tenebrous and his upbringing seemed quite controlled. The Darth Plagusis novels is very clear on this. So I don’t understand where this fits into the timeline
There are some things to consider in this: 1. We are about 47 years before the birth of Palpatine. 2. There is no established canonical age of either Tenebrous or Plagueis thus far as all content from the Plagueis books are no longer in canon. Rather, they are legends material. 3. We assume that Plagueis lives a VERY long time due to his ability to achieve borderline immortality due to his manipulation of the force. 4. Plagueis did much of his research without Palpatine but certainly did do quite a bit with him, although Palpatine was not privy to much of it.
