With the new Billy the Artist revelations about how he lied to Maury Terry about what he saw in Untermyer Park, it's basically official that the whole Son of Sam cult thing in Untermyer is 100 percent BS.
Thank for sharing. I found that my GoPro recorded a video without sound when I was editing my vlog. One video is silent in the first half, and the sound comes up suddenly in the next half.Is there any solution to recover the sound in these videos? It's a daily vlog, and I can't re-record it.
I know they are called firehouse lights but Im thinkin they are supposed to be used so other aircraft can see you at night. They didnt seem bright enough to see really well . Did it look brighter in the goggles? ✌️Great review Mr Bronx👍
The strobe option is for alerting other aircraft that a drone is in the area. The constant light feature is for low light or no light conditions. I have firehouse lights that are only strobes. They don’t have all the functionality these do.
I've got my avata 2, it's absolutely fantastic-- I've crashed it a ton of times, it's handled almost perfectly-- except for one issue: the gimbal dampers split after a crash 😭 I had to send it in for repair bc of a tiny rubber bit that broke
I agree, it is fantastic. I’m currently traveling with mine so I’ll be release some new footage soon. Sorry to hear that. I’ve been super lucky my Avata 2 hasn’t broken. I’ve had some bad crashes. I hope you get a replacement quickly. Take care ✌️😎
Nice review bro! Just curious about the message in the lower right corner of the screen 12:46 “battery capacity not updated for ext..” I’ve never seen that before. What’s that about?
Apparently there was a battery firmware update released that day. Unfortunately, I was having issues conducting the firmware update from this location. I had to more forwarded with the review. I had approval to fly within the training center for that date and timeframe.
@@CaptureLifeConnection Ah I see. Yeah, I totally understand having to move on without the update. Gotta do what ya gotta do! Thanks for answering that for me though, it peaked my curiosity 😂 And keep up the good work man, great production!
Those tactical lights were great for flying inside of a dark building, that could be very useful in certain cases. Do they only work on the Avata 1? I hope they have a solution for them to work with the Avata 2 as well. Great review Stevy, you covered everything.
Thank you Ron. It’s impressive how bright they are. Some of those areas were completely dark, zero light. Firehouse Technologies provides quality products. There is a kit for the Avata 2… amzn.to/3RHcVaM ✌️😎
Should fill the place with smoke and see how the stabilisation changes with the smoke and lights. I wonder if the smoke will affect the measured distance to ground as the smoke particles reflect light back.
I should have put the ISO higher. I always keep the ISO low, I forgot to make the proper adjustments. In an emergency, they won’t be worried about grain in the picture.
Great job, Stevy! I think you need the brightness facing down for the optical flow sensors to "see" the ground. In this scenario I dont think LEO's or firefighters would need quality footage, just good enough to see... JMO
sometimes avata does that when you try to land by skidding in as if you were landing a regular fpv cinewhoop. try coming in at a normal height like 4-7 feet and when you are over your landing spot while hovering for a few seconds, come straight down.
That’s strange. I would return that battery if possible. Is it past the return policy? I would be scared to fly with a battery that has an intermittent issue.
Man I am so torn on this. I have none but I really want one so that o can just mess with and do some nice shots on around my home and vacations. Idk if it’s worth it or not.
If I was in your position and had to choose one, it would be the Avata 2. That’s based on my experience. I’m actually thinking about selling my original Avata before it starts collecting dust. I might put it in the market after making my next video. 🤔🤔🤔
I have a dji avata and i use the one plus fast charger 65w and it take 45 min or 1h and a half for the 3 batteries 12 to 16 min depending the weather the way i drone etc.... I really don t like the dji fpv design.
I did settle for a safe battery charger after the making of this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SGUApbSzZRI.htmlsi=ilzBpJq7FVYobuvs Yeah, the DJI FPV wasn’t a good design but I find more purpose for it than the original Avata. Things have changed though. I’m hooked on the Avata 2 now. It doesn’t have the power of the DJI FPV but it flys nicely. It’s a better than the original Avata in every aspect.
Nothing personal, why you lie ! that shit is fragile that shit will crash and break 😢 also it’s no DIY repair you have to send it back to the Dji care refresh, that cost money. I don’t know .Maybe you are so damn lucky.
Tommy, thanks for sharing your opinion. I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment. The footage speaks for itself. There was no need to exaggerate the truth. The two crashes that are highlighted in this video are pretty bad. And yes, it might have been luck. But regardless what you say, the drone survived. I’m just sharing my experience. Nothing more and nothing less. I was honestly shocked that the Avata 2 survived the last crash. I’m not sponsored nor have any connection to DJI. If the drone would have broke, I would have shared it in this video. I changed that one prop and the drone flew perfectly shortly after that crash. The Avata 2 is stronger than I thought upon first handling it. That was the message.
It definitely has the best flight characteristics right out the box. I’m still having a blast flying it. I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment 🙏.
Low battery power can have an effect on the CPU... like a human brain being deprived of oxygen, it can send conflicting signals to the software. I had an RC 10 car and replaced the standard throttle with a racing throttle. When the battery got low, I lost control of the car... at the beach... into the water. When I got home, I immediately switched back to the standard throttle. Cheers, Brendan
I believe this is the best response yet. I also think it had something to do with the Avata 2 being in low battery mode. I had an issue with another drone after it went into low battery mode/warning. I started getting a lot of latency on my iPad and the drone was self-landing. The problem was, I was over water and the latency was so bad it was hard to get my direction to land correct. I eventually figured it out and got back to land but I hit a tree ☹️. That morning I did a firmware update that apparently made my iPad not function properly with the app. I ended up purchasing a newer iPad and sent the drone to DJI for repairs. I never had the issue again. Now, in this video I was using all the Avata 2 equipment from the combo. The new controller and goggles. That glitch shouldn’t have happened.
When I lived there and would visit was really sketchy. A young kid was working for his father on school break was murdered there. His 2 friends took him back there and killed him for his first paycheck.
Lived near there in Northern Liberties. Great place to ride a Mountain Bike. Seen them doing fashion shoots with all the models. Some music videos were also done there. The graffiti was always changing. That place is famous, people from other countries have heard of it and will go visit.
Yeah, I did my research before visit and I was impressed. This location has global fame. I’ve been going to Philadelphia since the early 2000’s and never heard of it… Until I started digging for new places to see.
Great testing, and thanks for showing the Avata 2 can take a crash, and still keep flying. It was starting to get a bad reputation, mostly from people that didn't have the drone, that it couldn't take a crash. Thanks for sharing Stevy.
🙏 Thanks You 🙏. Yeah, there’s a lot of misinformation on RU-vid these days. That’s why I share my experience. People need to hear the truth from RU-vidrs that live this lifestyle. Good or bad. The Avata 2 is stronger than most people believe but that emergency brake button issue is sketchy.
Good stuff, bro. Go play with a sim for a while. 🤣 I saw your satellite number was red, which means it didn't know where it was. My avata 1 did the exact same thing, but into the lake.
I definitely need more sim time 🤓… 😆 Yeah, it went bonkers on me. I’ve had no issues with satellites at that location that day into that happened. Also, I’ve flown at that location many times before with DJI drones and never had and issues of this kind.
I was wondering how many times you crashed doing the flippy floppies- it will happen all the time. “OH SHIT BUTTON MALFUNCTION” Well done! Stevy and thanks for sharing.
Bro, I have a lot more crashed than that.. lol 😂 … 🤫🤫🤫 Team man, that was scary. If you look at the video real good, once I press the break button, the drone tilts forward and accelerates. 🤷🏻♂️
What's up again man? Quick question. I just bought another Obsidian, that is phenomenal, but the batteries are not good. Fortunately, I have 4 extras, but to go on, if the charger shows yellow light (or God forbid, a red light) on the bottom of the charger, can they be saved, or should I just throw them away?
