I started as a studio repair technician at Avatar & started a Macbook component level logic board repair business. This channel shows repair & data recovery work & shows how to perform these repairs step by step. There are many outside forces that make it hard to fix things now; willful actions from manufacturers to limit access to parts & schematics. I talked about this to try and spark mainstream recognition of the "Right to Repair" movement.
I realized that restrictions placed on repair were just a canary-in the-coal-mine for many of the anti-ownership, anti-consumer practices that would become common in every industry, which I discuss & try to push back against every day.

It's extortion. People really need to just opt out of buying anything by companies that do this, including computers. Boycott them all. They won't stop until they are stopped.
There is no sane reason why a picture of a nude small child should be considered sexual and therefore immoral. If we give in to that kind of thinking, the predatory pedophiles win. They have forced us to think of children as sex objects, just like they do. And all to stop the tiny minority of people with pedophilic interests from maybe getting an unacceptable form of enjoyment from a picture. At what point are we doing more damage to children by making them scared of the pedophiles we think are lurking everywhere than the harm our paranoia might prevent?
The apple situation in my country is just sad. Stupid people love the brand and put themselves in debt to get an iPhone. It costs the equivalent to 7 times the minimum wage(1412 for 160 hours per month), and poor people do everything to buy it. People without paint on their walls celebrate buying iphones as normal people would celebrate buying a house. I will never understand why people, including in the us, hate themselves enough to fall for apple's propaganda.
The remote start isn't via a regular keyfob radio, it is via the internet. The subscription is required to cover the recurring cost Mazda incurs for the onboard cellular service. It's silly that they made it internet connected instead of from your keyfob, but it's their prerogative to do so. You were also aware of this when you purchased the car. You even signed paperwork about it. I was told about it and signed paperwork about it when I purchased my Mazda. You are under no obligation to use that service. You lose remote start from y our phone, and some other dumb sht like ability to check air pressure in your tires from the app, and notification on your phone if car doors are open and all that. Just don't pay for it. It's really not a big deal.
Speaking of charging money to index a website, that strongly reminds me of link tax (EU's snippet tax, Austrilia's Bargaining code) that news sites are demanding google, search engines, and Facebook. So reddit is joining news sites to demand money from google.
Chris, after scraping, grinding, or cutting shorted layers, try polishing it, it may help remove shorts. You may have to cut less off and wont have to be as lucky with the former part.

So, I bit the bullet and got YT Premium. I hate myself for how much I’m spending, but I only use my phone to watch YT, so I got it to get rid of the stupid Litter Robot ads. I don’t even own a cat, let alone a dog. I’m not surprised these contraptions harmed animals.
I used to install remote starts. Most people didn't care to buy the module to remote start their car from their phone. We had remotes that went up to 2 miles without a cellular connection or we could even make your current remote work with our remote starter with or without a dedicated button. People even got them despite having one from the manufacture because ours was more customizable and ran longer. I'm sure they will find a way to stop 3rd party remote starts soon but in an ideal world we would have the option to not have any of that garbage pre installed in our cars. I don't want any mobile data connected to my cars internal computers whatsoever. Im glad I bought a new Honda in 2022 when I still had the option to get one without Honda Link or anything else that connects. That will be a thing of the past in a few years.
Shure is a good company. I used to drive by one of their Headquarters in/around Des Planes, IL. AKG deserved better. If you still want AKG, just use Austrian Audio. The guys who left AKG after Samsung acquired them made Austrian Audio.
