I couldn’t see which fuel pump you put in, but if you care much about the ski, or plan to keep it long, you should definitely do the triple outlet Mikuni fuel pump. It’s only about $50, and will save your motor. The reason all your motors have the PTO cylinder melted down, is because of that factory fuel pump. The PTO cylinder gets starved for fuel. You’re fortunate that yours wasn’t worse than it was. The last one I rebuilt, the piston was so destroyed that it ended up taking out the crank bearings as well.
I have sn 1996 explorer 400. My decals ok tye tank and side plates sre faded bad and coming off. Where did yall get those new ones at??? Im needing some new ones
Did you do an oil change on it. Basically same way of taking the gas out? I just got one of these I’m thinking it needs gas and oil change. And what oil would you recommend for this Waverunner? Thanks. Great vid btw also where do I put the hose so I can run it out of the water? Thanks
I have the same model. Mine starts up ok. When I go to rev it. It barley moves and bogs out any idea? When I opened the engine compartment I notice there was water and smoke inside. Any help?
Hey I need your help man I’ve got the same ski 2 years newer. It will slowly turn over then click out. Brand new battery the carb is new. Seem like there isn’t any power getting to the motor. Starter solenoid or what do you think?
Great video! I just bought a 94 waverunner its awesome but needed some refreshing after sitting. It started when I put gas in the carb but not on it's own. This helped
Just saw your vidieo by chance i need gun whale bumpers for my 94vxr 650 yam.saw that urs was cracked as well.did you find a way to refurbish them.dealer told me no longer available for that yr.but someone must be able to crank out new plastic on those 3d printers.but also maybe just a newer machine with similiar trim.?snookie pA.
Jesus loves you turn away from your sins and ask God to forgive you. Jesus paid for all of our sins with his death on the cross. We owe hell from sin, but Jesus paid for that punishment, so have faith he did ❤️
dude, i bought a ski that had a piston cracked just like that. crazy thing is, it held 125 psi on a cold compression test. it was actually the highest of all the cylinders.
Hey man, I have the same ski. It has been sitting and seems to be seized up. We’re these seized at all? Do you have any tips for getting them unlocked?
Hey man one of them was a little stuck..what I did was put some oil in both of the cylinders. And then I used a pipe wrench on the shaft coming out of the back of the engine..it might have a black cover on it take it off and try and work it back to forth.
Wow you got a killer deal! Replacing the top end looks very straight forward and looks easy to work on. I am from GA. I live on Clark Hill lake on the SC side. I noticed the lake you are riding in has a lot of silt in the water.. Is it lake Oconee? Oconee gets real muddy like that. Clark Hill lake has a 1200 mile shoreline and the water does not get muddy except way up near the mouth of little river. The main river, the Savanah river, never gets muddy but it could be because Lake Russel and Lake Hartwell are both upstream from Clark Hill lake so the dams might catch the silt. I am assuming the PTO cylinder is the cylinder closest to the flywheel and I assume that the heavier flywheel is for low end torque? Oh yea, does the engine have reed valves or use 3rd port? The reason I am asking is I am looking at a Polaris 750.
Hey man this was lake tobesofkee when they were draining the lake to do dock maintenance so that’s why the water looks so dirty I just couldn’t wait lol. Also they do have reeds
Hey man, I gotta question if you would be willing to answer. I bought a '94 Waverunner 3 about 2 weeks ago. I had it in the water the other day. Seems to be running great, it starts right up no issue, will warm up nicely, then out of nowhere about 10 mins into the ride, when the throttle is at 3/4 - full, it'll just slow down to a complete stop and shut off. It'll start back up every time after that, but then if I give it throttle, it wont pick up speed it just kind of "chugs" and tries to shut off again. Does that sound like a fuel line issue? The guy I bought it from had the carb worked on 2 years ago, but has never had the fuel lines changed. The hull is completely dry, and nothing "underneath" seems to be getting wet. The owner also claims very low hour ski, (even tho these have no hour meter), but from looking underneath, I would agree because the engine as well as everything else, including the wiring, looks really clean for the age of ski. It was garage kept but the guy hadn't ridden it since last season. I am new to being a pwc owner and would appreciate any information you could provide. Thank you so much, great video!
Hey man I’m going through the same issue! I think I have found the problem. The overheating sensor might be bad and putting the ski in “limp mode”. Open up the electrical box and disconnect It. I did it to mine and on the trailer I can already tell it runs better. #35 www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/yam/5003a37af870021f60a12a6a/electrical-1
@@thehomebeacon Thanks so much for the reply, man. I will take a look after work today. Getting ready to winterize her, and I would prefer she works to her full potential before storing away for the off-season. Thank you again!
@@bernielomax4859 I actually havent tried disconnecting the overheating sensor yet, however, I threw a fresh set of plugs in and ran some engine stabilizer through so I think it might have just needed a clean w/ a fresh set of plugs. It runs no issue now.
It was a really good deal, looking back at it i really did not need it but me and my 3 buddies were getting crammed in the garage but we are still going to do strongman there every week
