Sandy Hook Promise was founded in January 2013, in the aftermath of the tragic mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary that claimed the lives of 20 first-graders and six educators. Sandy Hook Promise turned tragedy into transformation to prevent violence in schools through educational programs and policy advocacy.
The mission of Sandy Hook Promise is to educate and empower youth and adults to prevent violence in schools, homes, and communities. Through our proven, evidence-informed Know the Signs programs and sensible, bipartisan school and gun safety legislation, we teach young people and adults to recognize, intervene, and get help for individuals who may be socially isolated and/or at risk of hurting themselves or others.
I will never for get this. I wasnt here. But i was diagnosed with autism right before this. A local reporter blamed autism.. he blamed the autism for the kids violence. This didnt just change these peoples world. It changed mine... i saw people woukd give me looks or activly shun me when i told them i had autism. I began to hate my autism and my self. Suicidal idiation and attempts. Somehow and some reason im still alive...
Good grief! I’m sooooo sick and tired of seeing “Sandy Hook Promise” ads 20 times a day on RU-vid! We get it! That was a horrible tragedy committed by a very evil, sick & twisted individual. However banning AR’s is a terribly stupid policy to bring to the table! America will never be able to ban firearms! The only people who would comply with such a mandate would be the law abiding citizens. The criminals would love to see a firearm ban enacted because they will be the only ones with guns!!!
Another thing is we would have no defense against a tyrannical government which is the main reason we have the Second Amendment. If there was no Second Amendment there would be no First Amendment either. The reason these ads keep running is because the government wants our guns so there is no "We The People" just a one world communist government. I feel sorry for theses folks but they put too much trust in our government. Our Founding Fathers did not want us to trust the government either (the government they created). Ben Franklin said "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Another thing that the Second Amendment does is discourage a ground invasion on our soil by foreign powers like China, Russia, or the UN for that matter with their so called "peacekeepers", because a ground invasion would be too costly a attrition rate with most of us armed.
I love what you are doing ♥ im in middle school (8th grade) and in USA i always get scared when i go to school because of school shootings so seeing people trying to prevent that is awesome❤
The fact that one of the victim’s father took his own life due to his daughter’s death. Imagine the pain he had to endure because his baby was murdered💔
At least this is effort directed correctly, in my opinion. We live in a less violent society than ever, but improvements can still be made. Just don't infringe on the law abiding American's citizen's 2nd amendment rights.

The woman in this video looks innocent. She probably believes that the S H event was real and she's just trying to do some good work. But no. It was a staged event. The town of S H was paid millions of dollars to participate in a FEMA drill. Then the drill was hyped in the media as an actual mass shooting incident. The lunatics on the dark side are so obsessed with taking away the guns, they are willing to engage in this level of deception. Notice that Obama almost immediately called for gun control legislation. It was a monumental scam.
At first I thought this was going the direction of villainizing comedians but when I saw the message, yeah I can definitely get behind this. Not everyone is a comedian. There are people struggling mentally, that are isolated, and do mean it. We need to get these people help before other people pay the price for their actions and our blind eyes.

You missed the point and didn't do any research. The Sandy Hook Promise is a non-profit organization to spread awareness about school shootings. Sandy Hook was a school shooting where a kid killed 26 people, 20 being children between 6-7 years old. They are repeating threats that kids made before real shootings and everyone thought it was a joke. Be a little more educated next time you wanna be pissy.
I'm not too sure why the comments are open after so many years, unlike the rest of the videos on this channel, but I feel compelled to share my thoughts from here in Australia. Here, the most alarming thing we’ve faced at school is not the threat of violence but the occasional lockdown drill, which we often didn't take seriously. Even during the bushfire season, when the sky literally turned red, not many of us would think much of it - you could see and predict it. The idea of a sudden shooting is just… terrifying. I think advocating for knowing the signs is one of the best ways to be going about this, so, good on you guys.

They don't mean it's funny, they did this to demonstrate what people thought and why thats a bad thought. The people who originally made these threats were not kidding, and nobody would make that joke, they would be telling the truth.
