I got the 07 gsxr 750 and tried the same thing, trust me it doesn't sounds good, just annoying. Put on a shorty glass pack at least to get a deep rumbly-grumbly but scream like a party popper having an orgasm when riding the rpms. Just say good bye to your bottom end and say 'ELLO to huge power spike 8k-10k rpms. Meet meep.
