I was wondering if you had any stretching tips, I've been doing competitive dancing for like 10 years now and I still just cannot seem to be able to do my splits or be flexible in my legs at all❤
Yea fr everyone at my school be saying it's easy but haven't danced competitively for 10 years like I have, I started dance when I was tree did some rec classes then went straight to comp, dance has been my life ever since and I wouldn't change it for the world❤
I’m really jealous of my friend because she has flatter arches and not the strongest feet but strong shoes, so she is way better at pointe than me since I have high arches and shoes with a really small platform. :(
You just need to get the right shoes for your feet! Definitely get fitted for the right shoes by a pointe shoes fitter (watch videos by Josephine from the Pointe Shop). Professional dancers have had to go through many different brands and style before we find what works best! You will find the shoes that work best for you and having the right shoe will make SUCH a huge difference! Good luck ❤
I think she’s implying ballerinas have to maintain a certain physique. The ballet world can be very toxic and there’s a lot of expectations to what you should look like. They end up developing an unhealthy connection to food. Plain greek yogurt is fine but what if they prefer vanilla? Their mindset is all about restriction.
@@joselynmontero9498 yes she is referencing that in the beginning, but the video is more so about how restriction isn't necessary to be a ballerina. For example, how she said she wouldn't eat sun chips because she's allergic and prefers ruffles. It was about her personal preference. She just doesn't like the taste of plain greek yogurt and is a ballerina too
