A fascinating interview of the charismatic and charming Jon Pertwee sorely missed but luckily left us all so many acting parts and radio just wonderful
How sad he didn't have a loving father. And yet it clearly didn't stop him from being a wonderful dad - his children speak of him so fondly. A lovely man and a uniquely charismatic star.
Lalla was my first crush (when I was too young to even know what that meant). And I can confirm that 'glass in a class' is a British expression and it is wholly apposite as a description of Lalla. Peace.
When you think about the fantastic job the Tories have done of maintaining and improving vital public services, lifting our vulnerable people out of poverty, not stoking up division and pandering to racism, enhancing the reputation of the UK as a serious across the world, cleaning up corruption and making the UK a fairer and more compassionate country to live; then you have to admit that we have been very lucky to have had the Tories in power for the last 14 years.🤪 Vote Labour.
God it really did go quick! They should bring back this sort of programme, just 1 interviewer, 1 interviewee. No braying audience, an interviewer who actually lets his guest speak and no gimmicks.
Very nice actor, very animated and thoroughly interesting. Naturally a very humourous man and full of great little stories. He and Tom Baker are the best Doctors.
@@dan___bristoliannn6591 yeah i am great thanks.. this tony stuff reminds me of a certain.. tory.. turned home sec.. turned pm.. who doesn't do a harold wilson and bottle it
It still feels like a personal bereavement. I often remember watching him watching the students on a televised workshop. Leaning forward, head slightly cocked and so caring and intent on getting the best possible performance from them.
All those making terrible jokes below......you do know Lionel Blair was married to a lady & had 2 children, right? (BTW don't even bother with any Philip Schofield references!)! 🙄
The scifi connections in this one episode are barmy! Una Stubbs played Aunt Sally alongside Worzel Gummidge actor Jon Pertwee who was Dr Who in Ghosts of N Space which guest starred Sandra Dickinson, who was the one time wife of Peter Davison, who played the Doctor in Earthshock alongside Beryl Reid!
