that's a good question! sounds to me like you've got some exploring to do. There's an abundance of absolutely amazing trail systems/state forests on the East side of the CT river. Check out RideWithGPS/AllTrails for heat maps that show "dirt". Pretty sure that's one way Ronnie puts together his routes and I'm for sure doing that a lot in my area (Madison, CT).
Im not sure, but the way i see it you dont ride that fast most of the time. Do you really need a drop bar? Just curious. I personally dont use drop bars because they make my back ache.

@@joehuba I definitely will, I'm thinking about going to the Norbrook Farm event next month. My son raced Belltown in Portland and Winding Trails in Farmington this past month and the trails looked fun!
