I went to the Cardiff Bus open day a few weeks ago and saw the the new double deckers in the garage. I asked an employee about them and apparently they are on hire only , hence they are mainly white.

I am currently planning our trip to Wales and England & we'll be taking a bus from Newport to Cardiff once at least .So this was helpful. But, I am wondering if we can take our hand luggage & carry on luggage with wheel on with us ,or not. I checked their ( Stagecoach ) articles ,but they said there were restrictions. And it's up to the bus driver's judgements !? I read Q & A on TripAdvisor. They ( Brits ) were saying it should be fine.But ,it doesn't seem to have much spaces under the seats ,or any .🚌💜🥁🐉🎤💞
Everytime I watch bus videos of u.k.I am speechless by the numbers of buses seen on the roads at once !! Like 5 to 7 buses 😅 on the same streets at the same time !!! Lol. I guess the demands are so much higher in the U.K. than here in the U.S.,or Japan where I originally came from !? Lol. I hate to drive surrendered by so many buses around for sure !! I am currently planning our trip to Wales and England & thinking about taking a bus from Newport to Cardiff ,regular bus ,nit a big coach ...stagecoach, or Newport bus ? Do they allow us to bring our carry on hard case luggage w/ wheels on ? I wonder .I've googled & read many articles ,but all said they have restrictions & the driver would judge it ! 13 mins from town to St Mellons. This must have been filmed a few years ago when traffic was better. No way would you get there in 13 minutes by busin 2020 traffic conditions.
Very interesting video. The congestion with stationary taxis just after passing under Queen Street railway bridge was obvious, but I don't know if that is a common occurrence or not. As for the bus- what a rattler, but hardly surprising when it has to go over all those speed bumps which do no good to vehicles or people (I have had serious spine problems but my local hospital has speed bumps!)
Interesting video. I didn't realise the number 30 route was still operating. I last used it (over part of the route) when I was about 10 years old, in the late 1950s. It was run as a joint service between Cardiff Corporation Transport and Newport Transport and I assume that is still the case (under the new bus company titles). This video brought back memories and showed quite a few changes- the route through Cardiff seeming more tortuous. I didn't use the bus in my travels to college in Newport, as the train from Cardiff was more convenient and faster.
Thanks for the comment. Yes the route is still shared between what is now Cardiff Bus and Newport Bus. It's a nice route. Newport Bus also run an express service between Cardiff and Newport , route X30. It goes via North Road , UHW , A48 and M4 to Malpas. I have a vid of that route too.
wow cool video i never saw the electric bus in real as i never got the chance to go to town i never known how quiet it is i hope we keep it and get more if it is still running i might ride on it one day i have built a model of it
@@Cardiffbus342YR59FZD No... not at all, I knew a lot of the drivers and I was usually on the buses with them. You would not have wanted me being in one of the photo's. It ruin it. :)
