Yes you are exactly right I had a few XRS in my time and those things would burn themselves up they ran very hot Yamaha TT definitely had a better setup and also I like their decompression set up much more forgiving than Honda XR where it would blow your foot off when it kicks back.... lol
I love these bikes best woods bike I ever had just respect it like any thing it will last a life time fast as heck I would of never needed it faster with a 6speed tranny it was more than I needed in speed and it had a lot of low end also just a all around super good bike I’m happy I am blessed to own it still after all these years
Yep had the 82 blue version bore jetted piped …like jumping on the back of a bucking bronco Couple my buddys with125/250s even a bad ass 300+ harley dude couldn’t hold that front down when band came on ,,,rideit enjoy it respectit be safe …I always geared up properly before launching no shorts flip flops
@navyseabee7245 I got the same bike but it's got a Slide bore carb on it and it's leaking gas into the engine oil I'm going to buy a new carb for it iv seen oem aftermarket carbs on ebay for $50 with main jets for the 250r and 300. Do you think it's worth it or do you think I should go strait oem

@@navyseabee7245 np hey I’ve got some older video on my channel of me and my pup riding the hills on the tt350. Now it’s that dogs pup.. and my girl on the back. I added Xt buddy pegs. And dog on front. Quite the hoot. Lol 😂
