Mostly about my HellRaisin 2020 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 and it's progression as I attempt breaking a 10 second quarter mile time in it with a stock 392 Hemi. How you ask? With weight reduction! Some of the things I do may be a little unconventional, but hopefully there'll be some good info as I weigh up different parts.

Through it all I'll be drag racing, going to events, doing unboxings with reviews, how-to's and install videos, and anything else automotive related mostly centered around Mopar vehicles.

You'll also see my 2017 Ram 1500 which handles most daily driving and towing. There'll be info and reviews on it along with mods and accessories used to tow not only my Challenger to races, buy my RV Travel Trailer around the country.

Finally, you may be wondering about the 'Scavenger' in my name. It's a hobby of mine that you'll get to see every so often including auction finds and scrapping. I may even do some scrapping runs in my 11 second drag car!

When dealing with a broken bolt like this. Take a 90 die grinder and some 60 grit. Sand it flat. Then use a center punch on it to get a center punch on the bolt. Then use like 1/16 drill bit or smaller and start drilling through it. Then open it to the size you need with the reverse drill bit. Then use the extractor bit with the drill. It needs some power behind it to dig in and bite. Then if you need to. Use a crescent wrench or T handle to back the bolt out. If you have a welder. Put a washer over the bolt. Weld the washer to the bolt. Then weld a nut to the washer. Wrench.

You would’ve saved yourself a whole lot of time if you would’ve has other people mentioned, sprayed it with something like Kroil or some other penetrating lubricant, and just work the studs back-and-forth to clean out the corrosion between the stud and the manifold. As you’re backing out and if you feel it bind that’s the time to stop and go back in back-and-forth a couple times spraying it and it should’ve just come out Without having to drill

People in parking lots suck, so many just don't care or understand common sense and etiquette. I definitely believe having a dash cam is almost a necessity. Even if it has trouble making out license plates, as long as it captures the incident like it did for me here. I worked for auto insurance as a claim adjuster before and I came across several cases where it was he said/she said and pitted insurance companies against each other since there was no real evidence either way. In those cases the insurance will normally side with their own insured.

@Scavenger1320
@Scavenger1320 7 дней назад
Thanks for asking this, I was going off the 'MO-349' Filter number and had to dig into it a little bit. So the **AC is a newer version that supersedes **AB (which superseded **AA before it) and it looks like **AC is what you'll probably get regardless. I zoomed in on the box in the vid and I could see that I got the **AC version, even though I ordered the **AB version from Amazon, which is the exact same listing that I linked to in the description. Funny thing is, if I go directly to the listing for **AC, Amazon says it's not compatible with my 23 Grand Cherokee, but I can confirm it is in fact compatible. I also found a couple posts in forums that said the same thing, that they ordered the **AB but got the **AC. So I'm guessing unless dealers have some old stock on hand, they probably all just have the **AC version in their parts room.

If your first 500 miles were at 9.5 mpg .......and your 1000 mile mark was at a 7.9 average,that means the second 500 was at what? 6 mpg? .To average 7.9?
@Scavenger1320
@Scavenger1320 9 дней назад
Not really, and that's because the trip gauges in the truck always put more weight on more recent mileage, so it doesn't actually calculate a true average. That's why the mileage could be great and then I hit a bunch of inclines or a fierce headwind and the displayed mileage will drop like a rock, and vice versa, the wind could shift to give me a good tailwind with a flat road and the displayed mileage will start rising really quick. That 9.5 after the first day was really the more inaccurate number. In that case, the last part of the trip that day I ran into that rainstorm that kept my speeds closer to 55, so the mileage really started shooting up quick. I just went back and checked my receipts and the actual mileage was closer to that 7.9 that day. That said, I have seen 6 mpg before with this setup, and that's going west from Dallas to Amarillo where I seem to always go up against a strong headwind along with a steady incline in elevation.

Nice video. Its Mishimoto trans cooler oozing quality that made me really go all in on lowering the temp. The transmission cooler came with a infosheet about switching over to 180. Your video has me now saying eff it and keeping the thermostat out entirely. Also you really might like switching over to straight pure water as coolant with VP cool down or similar product. If you are not worried about freezing. Water is also much better at dissolving stuff to suspend and then deposit in the reservoir tank. Also you can just pour it with the VP anywhere without worry and its a little bottle in comparison to jugs of coolant. AND its insanely more effective to use water to transfer heat.
@Scavenger1320
@Scavenger1320 16 дней назад
Only problem with leaving the t-stat out completely is that it'll most definitely pop the code for 'not warming up fast enough'. I did actually just get a t-stat delete kit that has a few different plates with different size hole options, one of which is supposed to be keep temps close to 185. I'll be getting that installed with a vid over the next month or two. I'll have to look in to the water, but here in Dallas it actually is common to get some freezes over the winter. They usually only last a day or two but it's still a concern.
@dipndalip
@dipndalip 16 дней назад
@@Scavenger1320 Thank you for replying! So it is viable though? So your kit would restrict flow at a certain rate? I will definitely watch out for your video. With water and the VP cool down you can use it with regular coolant alone as it benefits the boundary layer heat transfer but you can also use it with mostly water and some coolant to bring up the freeze protection enough as well. I have a crown victoria btw so there is no code to throw. It is cool to see you venture into this which no one in my community is. Some things I have seen succesful is running my car with alternator off, 16v self made lifepo4 battery relocated to the interior in the center console area, as well as a mezier electric water pump. The alternator doesn't charge because the battery is higher than its desired voltage. The electric pump made an insane difference and only draws 9 amps on 16v with no alternator drag as well. Altogether its atleast 20 horsepower and the computer isn't messing with rpm to charge anything. Throttle response is made pure. The water coolant is to further reduce engine bay temps. I really appreciate you responding and reading this if you do.
@Scavenger1320
@Scavenger1320 15 дней назад
@@dipndalip yes, it restricts flow and I know someone that used it on basically the same car as mine and they said it's been working good for them. I actually just learned of the Meziere electric water pumps a couple days ago when I saw a custom speed shop come out with a backing plate made specifically for the Hemi's for those pumps. I'm definitely intrigued by them and might look a little deeper into seeing if it could work with what I have.
