SPOILERS!! It's actually an interesting question, yes!!! No question the original is deeper, even far deeper, and far more disturbing, but the new one is far more satisfying, even cathartic and enjoyable!!! Definitely most people prefer superficial and satisfying, but the original makes you have to think and I literally could NOT stop thinking about it for many many days after!!! Soooo yeah, which is better??? Blumhouse definitely made a great remake, especially to make a lot more money!!!
almost in the same boat as yours, except i will not say something like " is it good ? no " , it's super good for me. specially if you're not trying to compare it to the original ( that can be " old " for some ) , just among a lot of others movies, it quite stands out imo.
I think it is one of the worst films because it did an injustice to the characters and what they were based on, the worst acting one I think would have been mad and weld... None of those people could act. And borderlands just didn't try
When dark motherfuckas like starts to get darker into his ego he goes ballistic and also almost end up in a cell by having Salad toss means Bishop took destiny of his own hands by death.
I saw it Saturday night. It was terrible, and just boring. I knew it would be, but my sister wanted to see it. Love my sister, hated this remake of an originally good movie.
Hey, mate, thanks for showing snippets of Mad Max. obviously you know nothing about Oztraya whatso ever, but who can blame Most yanks who don't know where Texas is. Yes you are right, we lost to Emu's in a war, a bit like US lost to a bunch of goat hurders in Afghanistan. yo are only a US citizen because your ancestors got an invite they couldn't refuse a few years ago. My advise is chew more Wrigley gum, and we might learn something. Whatever you thinks a fair thing ! Greetins from oz !
The director was on the team that made _Predator_ (1987). He also made _I Come In Peace_ (1990) and _Stone Cold_ (1991), both of which are very like this. The guy who did the soundtrack for _I Come In Peace_ also made the soundtrack of the _Miami Vice_ tv show.
Car chases, motorcycle gangs, rockets on the back of cars for no reason ; I can't think of a more metal movie. BTW: the movie was very low-budget. Apart from the three main guys with dialogue, that was a real motorcycle gang they got for the movie. The film crew paid them with beer.
0:15- That's not demonic, it's called pining and longing. Q and Monica's staredown there was them longing for each other. 4:35- To be fair, kids emulate what they see their parents do. In Q's case, he sees his parents did act like a couple, and that's what he wants for himself when he sees Monica. Of course, he didn't know that not everything parents do is correct and all girls are not the same. Where Monica said she doesn't like flowers and Q realized it because he's seen his mom accept flowers from his dad, so he assumed girls must like that too. But really you just need to learn what does she like and go from there, hence the twinkies.
You are like the only reactor I’ve seen who knew the explosions killed a whole bunch of children. Everyone else just says all those people got killed…they were all children! In the book Katniss acknowledges the pen is filled with kids from toddlers to teenagers and after the explosions she says there are under sized body parts everywhere. Most people don’t seem to catch that part.
@@bigboyamos95 you should read them! They’re great books, very quick and easy reads also. Since the movies were rated PG they cut out a lot of the violence, the books are pretty dark for a young adult series. Great reaction!
It's NOT boring. It is complicated. Dense and profound storytelling. If your criteria of boring holds. You just sitting there is boring too. The concept that great ideas can be presented in an intelligent way seem to not be in your realm of possibility. Every word and every action in this movie was there to make the Universe of Dune understandable for the next 1/2 of the story. This was explaining things through actions and conversations. The action will pick up in second 1/2 of the story. But the ideas will keep flowing..... Like the Spice....
I like the story. The story isn't what's boring to me. Which is why I say it's great, but boring. The boring parts to me come from the performances of Timothèe Chalamets as Paul, and a big part of the story is seen through him. And most of the story is set up. It can get boring. I like the movie and the story. When it's following the politics of the houses and all the different factions, the movie is at its best for me. But, when it follows Paul and his character's story, the movie gets boring for me personally!
Yes. Skipping school was illegal if I’m not mistaken, parents could get in trouble for it. They used to have truancy officers who’s job was to catch the kids skipping school.
Bishop father got raped in jail . Bishop was teased about this his whole life and it turned him crazy. The first ending of this movie was bishop purposely let go of bruh hand cuz he ain’t wanna get raped in jail like his pops
@@bigboyamos95 I wish they would’ve showed more behind the scenes stuff cuz they got the footage. Pac got into it wit somebody on the set and the niggas started shooting the cast from another building becuz of it
No he didn’t. If I could call you a female dog in these comments ( the b word) I would. Pac pulled from his own character to play bishop. Only difference between the two was pac wasn’t a killer. But always wanna get into something? Always not wanting to back down? That had been pac and this is coming from niggas who knew him back then and before.
@@bigboyamos95 don’t listen to this clown bro. The guys that was around pac before this role say he was this guy. Only thing was he wasn’t a killer. But as far as not backing down, standing on how he feel and always wanting to get into something? That was him.
1. I first saw it when I was 10. 2. Roald Dahl the book author was a well known LSD user. (you can see why) He didn't like this adaptation, so we were cursed with "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". 3. The Umpa Lumpas told the reverent portion of the story. Anything beyond that would have been unnecessary and overkill 4. I suspect Wonka knew which children would win the tickets (lessons for our behalf) because Slugworth/Mr. Wilkinson was at the scene almost immediately. 5. Many people (especially women) seem to get a creepy feeling from Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka. 6. This is the only roll Peter Ostrum/Charlie. He's now an Veterinarian. 7. After reading the script, Gene Wilder said he would take the role of Willy Wonka under one condition: that he would be allowed to limp, then suddenly somersault in the scene when he first meets the children. When director Mel Stuart asked why, Wilder replied that having Wonka do this meant that "from that time on, no one will know if things are real or not." Stuart asked, "If I say no, you won't do the picture?" and Wilder said, "I'm afraid that's the truth." 8. If you look carefully, you can see the little girl in the candy shop get wacked on the chin when the candy man opens the flip up counter. 9. Fun fact: Veruca/Julie Dawn Cole didn't have any adult with her when they went to Germany to film the movie so Gene Wilder himself stepped in to make sure she was taken care of.😎 10. You can get away with anything in a musical.
