I had the honor of riding back seat in this girl almost 5 years ago. My God! I was so thrilled. It was on my Bucket List since I was 9 years old in 1976, after seeing Midway!
0:48 all of the modern aircraft pilots were probably laughing their asses off when they saw that’s old bird. Beautiful aircraft though, much respect to the Super 8.
@@jqb747 I believe one is Samantha’s (I think it’s spelled differently) Purse, which is a disaster relief company, and I don’t know a second but I’m sure there is still one out there, NASA retired theirs recently.
Flew on Delta’s L-1011 from Frankfurt, Germany to JFK Airport in 1992. That was my first and last time flying on this beautiful aircraft. I miss those days when trijets were common in the skies. I think Delta had big fleet of them back then.
An outstanding video! Keep on pursuing your passions that you enjoy! I know you’re doing great, and continue persevering with the challenges within the best of your abilities! My best of hopes for much prosperity, and despite the gaps for me not being present, I got your back! 👍🍀
Flew on Delta's L-1011 twice (with their classic livery) in 1979 and 1994. Was my first time in a true "jumbo" jet. Never forgotten it. Especially the unforgettable sound of those RR engines!

It happens, maybe in their takeoff performance they computed for full length instead of intersection departure. If they didn't make that maneuver it was considered an intersection takeoff then.
@@jqb747 Yes, because most people call me crazy when I state the size differences between various planes. I’ve known several people who think that the E-Jet is among the biggest planes in the world.
