it was a blessing all the years i had you as a teacher and as a role model. thank you for everything, im not sure as to why this just popped up in my recommended but it did, and i’m glad. i had no idea. thank you for everything again smith. you taught me lessons i could’ve never learned without you.<4

Words can't adequately describe what that room means to so many people. You are the one who made it our home, Mom. Thank you for taking care of us, and teaching us how to be good humans. We are all better because of you and the work you did as Band Director. The memories we all have will live forever, even if the band room doesn't.

Thank you for everything you have taught me, Smith. I initially joined the band program in 6th grade because I thought tooting an instrument would be kinda fun. But little did I know how much stuff and perspective you would teach me about life. And the amount of friends I was able to make before I graduated was amazing. I loved having you as my band director each year. The amount of jokes throughout just one class was great haha. But it felt like my home. It still feels like my home. Now I don't mean to get all mushy and crap, but I feel like you should know how much I truly appreciate you and what you have done for this program. I know I wasn't really the best student to you. But you were still the best teacher to me. And I feel like I can't say that about most teachers. You truly care for each of us individually. And that says a lot about ya. You made me feel cared. You made my high school experience what it was. I never liked school, the educational system. (That's a topic for another time.) But I would never trade anything in this world for the memories I have from this program. I appreciate everything you have done for us. It won't be forgotten. At least not by me. - Ali Hammond <3
