Hi Shayne, This vehicle comes from my home town, Swakopmund, in Namibia. I have sent you an email as I also own a LC300 GX-R and am considering same / similiar conversions. look forward to your reply.
It is not that much lighter,at stock weights, take off the less fuel,(smaller stock tank),say 30KG,then it is around 90KG lighter at the most Sweet F all.
Some people think that they know everything about motor vehicles but when I talk to people who have bought 300 they wish they had stocked with the 200 because they tow caravans better .😊
Cool and capable vehicle but let's not forget this bloke is paid to shill it to us. EDIT I mean, look around 3:25 when he's talking up the ramp-over angle as not bad. Mate, if that ramp-over angle is OK, then tell me what possible vehicle has a BAD ramp over? Compared to that thing I'll give you victories over a couple of Fords - the F250 and an AU Falcon station wagon
I love the very professionally done cut off sleeves on the shirt mate. Very down to earth. Except that 99% of Down to Earth Australian's could never afford to spend 200K on a new modified 4WD. For most people that would be a house deposit, but i'm guessing you didn't pay for yours.
I’ll stick with the v8 td thanks - remember when the prado went for the same makeover 120 to 150. Stuck with the 120 and never looked back - and she’s still going. Same with the 200 baby
Big V8 Really it only equivalent to the Holden 253 tiny way over rated ute. NOT A TRUCK where I like in Aus this is an average day going to work. Garrey
‘It’s better than the 200’…that’ll ruffle some feathers. Cruiser owners are a funny breed, when the 200 was released it was never going to be as good or as tough or whatever as the 100 series and same when it was released after the 80 series but alas they still keep buying them and within reason they still get the job done and have shown their worth.
Lot to like but since I’m not one for jumping rocks or rivers I went with a Chevy 2500 which I’d venture to say, it cost about the same as this conversion. Love the V8’s but yeah, the 300 seems good, I like to think of it as the Prado that they should’ve made years ago.
Very true. The african models don't get Adblue or DPF. For the blind spot monitoring i think you might have to pay extra for it as a tech pack. I could be wrong, I've seen some with and without blind spot monitoring. Otherwise yiu guys did a really great build. 🙌🏾💯
