Every parking lot started out as a wilderness turned National forest for "protection". It's the harsh reality of what happens thanks to tourism. When I started traveling 20 years ago as a rubber tramp. I got America the Beautiful pass because I just wanted to explore our national forest. I was naive had always wanted to work for the national forest so I could clean it and keep it maintained and protected. It wasn't until many years after traveling I realized that was a lie by the government to buy a plan for their agenda. The good news is that it's what we do with it that matters more importantly. Those of us that go out to the forest to leave it better than when we came.❤❤❤
They were just at the entrance. This cave goes pretty deep. Especially if you’re willing to crawl. I’m not sure it’s “the entrance”, it leads away from the mountain. It is really cool tho.
The cave entrance, or A cave entrance? 😊 I have a feeling there could be more than just one cave and possibly some other interesting things in/under Mt. Shasta. 😉
