Great video! We have similarities in our thinking. I'm over 19 years into a small garden maintenance job with a team of three in South West England. I have my 1st ride on mower quote to do ( my choice - did not want to get into huge areas at the start) So I'm looking for any tips or advice on how to quote with a rider on. Have done 1000s of small to large propelled mower machine jobs and wondered if I should just quote that way as in quote whatever it would take with the biggest mowers, but just use the ride on instead?
People give out information on social media without understanding the reasons. CutCrew can hold their heads high. You guys do amazing work at very competitive rates. Continually investing in machinery, products and people. Your work in the community is admirable. Don’t let a few miss judged words upset you and your team.
It’s not entirely relevant to this particular situation as there’s really nothing more you could’ve done with this place, but Scott Elwood has made a good point in the past that taking on jobs where the client wants the absolute bare minimum service can generate a similar situation and he therefore tries to avoid them.
Good Luck to you Jack. You seem a decent bloke to me. I would be so miffed if someone did that to me, after me putting effort into a good job. Running a business is hard enough with out misguided back stabbers.
Good video mate. I'm going to be laying turf in my garden in the next few days. The first patch is pretty solid ground with half decent soil with a decent amount of little stones. Will the grass root into the soil? Cheers. There's no top soil been put down or anything like that.
A very fair and honest video! Credit to you, social media sadly never gives both sides to the story and it’s always refreshing to see such a transparent view.
haha it was a good video.. things happen, deal with it and move on mate. social media creates jealousy. you need to stay online for your business presence. your a good person.
Jack everything you all at CutCrew do for my club is always the best you have always gone over and above to support my club maintaining our 17 acres to a high standard and always willing to help when asked even coming out to line early doors on match day. You set a very high bench mark and the club and I value our partnership. Thank you for everything you do for us ❤
There will always be people out to cause trouble mate. You know that you and your team do a first class job and anyone watching your Chanel can see that. On a separate note, the job calculator I bought off you has been a game changer for us, thank you!
@@cutcrewltd When I’ve quoted previously for anything it’s just been based on other similar jobs. I’ve not taken into account holidays rainy days etc. The interesting thing is I ran a couple of jobs through after purchasing it that we had just signed up a few days before and I was actually slightly over on some jobs but way out out on the jobs further distance away. It takes all the guess work out of things now I even tell people I’m quoting i use your calculator and it actually helps the sale process because they know you are being totally genuine with the cost.
The bloke basically shot himself in the foot by using these dirty little tactics. Customers will see what kind of person he is and they wont want to work with him. Take no notice and keep up the good work lad.
I’m glad that you posted this video Jack. The person that posted on social media, without knowing the full backstory ought to be ashamed of themselves. They owe you a full apology , if they don’t then shame on them.
Hello, any idea on how to find football sockets in the ground? I have found one goal, but not the other. I have made an 90 degree line from one goal post and marked a line down to about 100m but couldn’t find the hole. I have also used a metal detector but the sockets are ceramic. Any help otherwise it’s £1600 to fit 4 new ones😢
If you have found one and you know what side the goals are, measure away from the one you have found, dig using a screwdriver or stab until you hear a ting For the other side measure out pitch length and try and find one and repeat
Hi mate. Like the video, doing a virtual similar job myself. Home dryer, asking some advice wondering if you could help. Do you recommend when laying down topsoil for new turf to have the topsoil level with the patio or slightly below, maybe 20mm, more or less? Appreciate any help you could give. Thanks, keep up the good videos.
I help run a football club, we have 1 11v11, 1 7v7, 1 9v9 and 2 5v5 pitches which all need painting throughout the season. After walking many miles yesterday trying to measure a square 11v11 pitch i'm thinking of getting a turftank but i am wondering what it's like when changing paint colour. We have a red pitch over a white pitch for space and multiple uses so am keen to know what's best. What you think?
I researched several ways to correct broken fence posts, from the full dig-out-concrete-and-replace to just setting a new post next to the broken one. Concrete fence spurs seemed like a real solution. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be available in the US. So I just made my own by creating a form out of 2"x4"s and adding concrete. Holes in sides with some Pex piping left the screw holes. To work around the concrete plug around the current post, I made an offset for the part above ground. Works like a champ! With that experience, let me share some here. Most folks don't have an auger; post-hole diggers do great just keep the hole tight. You shouldn't need to add concrete to a concrete spur particularly if it's taller: 60 cm below ground (and above if the rails allow it). If you do, strongly recommend mixing it fully in a bucket or wheelbarrow. Easier to pour and work. Ensure the post is plumb when you add the concrete. Add temporary props to hold it so while you work. Cheers!
Good to have you back Jack and Cut Crew . Wow what a week that was, you all deserve some R and R time. Loved your co pilot Maggie, and tiny tim is looking good 😊😊
Relentlessly busy our end aswell, however just back from a two week break ready to go again! I’m sure my lads were happy to have a break from me also!! Good to see you back filming.
