Huh? This makes no sense. Folded Stainless Grates with fall to the waste outlet work far better than any of these Extruded Aluminium Setups. Improve your design & make them work better.
Mate, could you guys do a more in-depth installation? I understand your grate doesn’t form part of the waterproofing, but I think it would be awesome to see an in-situ install of your product from being seated on the waterproofing membrane to having someone tile up to the linear drain and the tile insert.
Hey Mate, Thanks for the feedback! We're on it! We'll create a more detailed installation guide from waterproofing to tile insert and linear drain. Stay tuned for updates. If you have questions, reach out to our support team 😉
Hi as a DIY bumbling along with his bathroom reno and a great user of RU-vid . I had it worked out you need a puddle flange adapter to properly support the grate. As with me i had a 80mm pipe then going into IN-PIPE 80mm puddle flange with adapter 80m and finishing with a 80mm grate. CHEERS
Congratulations! We have had a lot of enquires from customers looking for a gold grates. We are looking forward to getting them in stock. #lauxesgoldclass
Thank you for your query. As our grates do not form part of the waterproofing, we do not have specs to accommodate this. All waterproofing, bedding and tiling is completed prior to installing the grate. However, you can find further information regarding how end caps should be sealed either in an additional tech talk video below or via our website. Hi Jan, As our grates don't form part of the waterproofing and the waste and puddle flange are fitted loosely, as the water escapes the same way as the rest of our grates whether they are 14mm or 35mm deep grates.
That's what I thought as well? Some nice capilary action would suck in the water around the tiles and the water would get underneath it and would probably stay there most of the time? Let us know if we are wrong?
@@janarns3380 There are holes the entire length of the insert grate so any water getting down the side of the tiles has an easy exit as not all holes will be sealed with silicon. I'll be siliconing the sides/ ends of mine but that is simply for aesthetics and not a requirement.
Hi Ray, thanks for your comments. Glad you appreciate the "ocker accent". Would have loved to have used longer length as a true reflection in the video, which would have included multiple tiles, however wanted to create a quick and easy video for the shorter length applications. Happy to address this and silicone in further detail in future videos. Stay tuned!
