❤❤❤❤ love this just found this in my playlist again lol since the original was taken off some years back. But now its back again. Love for this tune though. Such beautiful soulful music of the 80s. Will be listening no matter what year it is.

I was at the New Year's Eve show in Dallas in 1984 and you could hear a pin drop when he played this. So many people in the audience were crying during and afterwards..................including myself.
Me, too! I saw all 3 nights in a row, the 30th, 31st, and 1st. Still have my ticket stubs and my sleeveless white t-shirt, now faded. lol I was 17 years old and, although I was (and still am) awestruck at his musical skills, lyrical prose, ugh, I mean the entire package, I don't believe I realized then how very fortunate I was to see every show. You know, when you are young, and you don't know any better, but think you do? Well, I thought I was going to see all 3 of those shows and I did just that. lol If only I could have that same mindset today, all these decades later. So glad you go to see this masterful musician and artist. How lucky we are to have lived during his lifetime.
I seen this tour, I was young but it knew I loved his music even then. What a tour! I won’t forget this night as long as I live in Philadelphia spectrum history

The very first time I saw Purple Rain 1984 this scene in the basement, the sheet music and then fathers song.... it’s what made me feel Prince and that movie beyond what anyone has done in music. It’s acceptance, it’s finding inner peace when all seems chaotic and lost. April is coming again it’ll be five years. I miss my hero but fathers song is a special way to keep his memory alive.
Dont. forget. the. Angry PIMP SPIN before we hear this piece play. WHERE ARE YOU?! WHERE ARE YOU?! ANSWER ME MOTHERFUCKER!! (smooth ass angry pimp spin)😂
@@shinbakihanma2749 yea. Very satisfying. Wonderful performances in Purple Rain. Prince was smooth. I remember all that anger but he's dealing with a broken man. There's no satisfaction in taking hands to the father. But he's so angry about his mother....
