An Entertainment and Learning channel devoted to building and painting custom collectibles and models including fan art and custom original artworks! Our goal is both to entertain you with our building and painting of unique art and to also teach you how to work with 3d printing and rapid manufacturing to be able to build your own high end models / collectibles and build and paint them to a high standard!
I'm looking at the reference of the studio model right now and I can say 100% that the spacing of the engine cover is not correct. It appears that the spacing in the middle of the studio model is roughly 1/2". Yours is much more than that.
Very, very nice mate. Think I may want one of these. Just wondered about the lower ankle joint pinch area though, that should extend into the rounded area of the axle hole, it will give a great pinch force on the ankle axle. At least I think that's how I remember it, been a while since I built one.
I was hesitant of backing this project at first. I originally thought the pricing was too high. But seeing how much you guys listen to your customers and are genuinely doing your best to fit our wants, I decided to back the project. Especially now that you’re offering a much more affordable completed 1/16 model. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! We are almost done with adjustments and I need to make some pretty pictures and finalize our new deal with manufacturers. So I'm hopeful we will have the new prices and details up by Wednesday
I’ve watched this on my iPad and Apple TV. The video is stuttering on both. Not sure why. I’ll try to watch later. I suspect it might be in the video itself and not the streaming.
Another idea for those of us who will get the 1/16 version if we don't have the space for a complete 1/8 fuselage. Can you offer just the ball turret in 1/8 scale with a simple stand, no fuselage section? If would be a great complement to the 1/16 model.
Absolutely! Having a partial wing with engine with a clear or partially clear cowl would be spectacular! This could be a separate model section in itself.
Hi…this turret looks great…my dad flew 10 bombing missions inside one…I would love to build it but not good with resin kits. I’m wondering what type of plastic will be used in producing the kit?
Looks cool! Before I realized this was sections, I thought "this is awesome, but my house is way too small to hold a 12 foot long B17. Now that I see it is in sections, I get it and LOVE the idea. How many sections are you planning? I'm betting the plexiglass nose and chin turret (hopefully a B17-G), cockpit and tail gun for sure. Anything else?
Thanks! We will be doing the entire fuselage in 5 sections. When they are slid together they will be around 6 ft long for the 1\8 version. It should be a situation where a 15 inch shelf should hold it all for a great wall display which we will probably design.
Looking good. I had questioned whether I wanted this or not, but this is such a great focus on the interior that you don't get otherwise that I love it!
Thanks for the video, but unfortunately, between this and the Chris's video, I'm still not confident in using these as tutorials. You both did things in different order of operations and this video kept saying, "don't do this until final assembly" as you were doing it for not final assembly. Maybe someone from the community will do an actual instructional tutorial for both assembly and paint.
I had a bunch of Ralph McQuarrie Star Wars concept art before the movie came out, that my dad framed for me it was so cool, so excited for the movie to come out.
Wouldn't it have made sense to reverse the wing mechanism so you've just have to pull off the end cap (which could have been fixed with magnets) to adjust the wing position.
