Another insightful and best practices reveling session. I am truly learning and gaining a lot from this program. Thank you Pastor Jeremy and Lakewood church for putting this together. May God bless you all in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
Thank you Pastor Jeremy and the entire Lakewood Leadership Program Team for your consistency and sacrifice made to ensure that this program impact us, me in particular. God bless you all.
Our generation is going to get very frustrated when they consistently run into the issue of not carrying the wealth at the table and having influence when it comes to the overall strategy of organizations/society. All we want to see is a better place for everyone, and our voices need to be heard for older generations to gain an understanding of what growing up in today’s world is really like, so that we can build a better world for the future. Unfortunately our voices can tend to be unpolished and under developed, that incorporating a sense of urgency within our ideas becomes challenging to communicate. We also don’t understand the power structures that exist within society’s main institutions nor how to create change within them, so we use our voices to try and project our thoughts in the case someone understands. There’s more than likely still a major disconnect between how our generation and older generations view the change process because of how quickly we’re used to receiving information as opposed to older generation. My prediction is that it will take a major disruptive trend from gen-z (most likely in the workplace) for people to catch on that something very different exists with this generation, to the point where we’ll have leverage in the conversation for creating change because our skills will be in demand and will be needed to keep society’s major functions going. Once we start to understand what our value is as a generation, we can begin to create a collective vision for how true change can be created. These are all my opinions. I’m no expert, but I’m well practiced in leadership for my age, so I enjoy being authentic and adding to the discussion when I can.
Other opinions I have on disruptive trends I could see happening to spawn a larger conversation about change: College undergraduate enrollments decreasing Parents enrolling less in the public school system and more in private/charter schools Greater influx of younger entrepreneurs Low paying entry level jobs starting to see less and less applicants over time
Great one from Pastor Jeremy. God bless you and your team at Lakewood Leadership Program. What impacted me most is "Caring about what others car about" We treating people the way we want them to treat us and Allowing a healthy conversation/communication in a team" Will apply lesson learned in the LearnDeo Team. Thanks a bunch!
Related to what Pastor Joel said last Sunday about not talking bad about others, I think instead of criticizing talking about our own feelings about the situation might be great instead of just reacting and being defensive.
Communication is such an important topic. I love the way Pastor Jeremy is breaking it down in little digestible chunks. Godly food for the soul and Godly Leaders. Thank you 🙏🏾
