Hey there @mitchygreen, I've been trying to find info on this mountain but the internet hasn't been forthcoming. Do you know anywhere I might be able to research this hike. Shame this video is no longer available :c

Great work! Beartooth is definitely a formidable challenge, and this video does a great job documenting all the stages. Can we ask what month you shot this? Was any of that snow a problem or did your route navigate it fairly easily? Was there any set Rappelling gear for you on the descent or did you set them up as you went? Again, fantastic work getting it done! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, We did it on Sept 15, 2016. The snow in the video was a chunk of ice about 40ft by 20ft and the route turns just before you get to it. When you get to that spot there is a small ledge on the slab that goes to your left to follow up a gully which brings you to the ridge line. There were a few rusty bolts in the wall but not well marked. We rapped webbing on rocks and shrubs for the rappel. We were told you don't need a rope but we definitely found it helpful as you are quite exposed in a few places. The rappel route was slightly different from the ascent as we were just taking the quickest way down. Hope this helps!

Awesome. Thanks so much for the reply. We've been turned away twice from Beartooth mountain over the last 9 years. Difficult access and tricky weather have always been our undoing. We're hoping to make another attempt this summer, but as we're not from Powell River the kicker always seems to be finding a reliable boat to borrow or rent. We'll definitely let you know when we make another go at it. Your film has given us some really helpful beta for the upper pitches of the climb. So thanks again!

What an amazing hike and views from the top. From the short sleeves, I would have guessed it was earlier in the summer. I've been on the logging roads by ATV until they got too overgrown. It' such a beautiful place to visit. Thank you for sharing.
