crazy no one knows why they used wicker baskets at Merion. I read somewhere because it’s in land with less wind red baskets where easier to see than flat flags. Its’s probably a secret they tell members when they’re accepted. No one shares because no one wants to lose their membership
I used to be a pro there from 2012-2014. Ever get a chance to go back play #2 from #13 tee, quite a hole. #17 would make a great driveable par 4 with a closer tee. Very fun golf course. Scoreable holes and just make par holes
