Hey Randy sorry about that loud music distorted my explanation. Any way if can remove master cylinder lock take it to locksmith and re-key it for you with the same key. A professional locksmith shop will be able do it for less than dealer would charge. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks for the video. Made it look easy to take out, I did exactly what I did n it popped out. One thing tho. If your going to talk about the part or something. Cut the music off on the video so we can actually hear what ur saying.
It was great video and thanks for showing it on RU-vid, but next video while you talk can you stop the music because we can’t hear you what you saying. Thanks
JB, thanks for the video and parts list. I’m going to be hooking up my trailer at our duck hunting camp for the season using the pvc pipe and connectors. The video is most helpful. Starting now to gather all the parts, then will lay it out and then start the connections to get it done. I do like the removable connectors because we will disconnect all when we move out after the season and when traveling-using the flex travel hose set ups when on the road and not at camp. Easy Peasy!
I went to locksmith to rebuild the master key cylinder need NOT to reprogram or new computer otherwise someone is trying to rip you off telling you something else is wrong
I have a 2001 Sequoia, and have a problem where the vehicle doesn't seem to register the key in the ON position. The ACC position works, and it starts the vehicle when I turn it all the way, but when I go from ACC to ON, it doesn't seem to recognize the change and turn on dash, AC, etc. Thoughts?
Hey try lubing it with WD40 remove key cylinder spray not too much then wipe off excess fluid reinsert key cylinder hopefully that helps..If not you master key cylinder must be replace
As a licensed plumber one thing you never want to use is black abs pipe.. it’s not meant for sunlight exposure.. always use schedule 40 pvc pipe and fittings.
why don t you learn how to do it before you make a video on how to do when you don t know how to do it / it make you look stupid and i am being nice from what i really want to tell you!!
I did this and my local locksmith wanted $220 to repair. So i drilled out the 3 roll pins that was holding the front on so i could pull it out to see the tumblers. That is what I called them. There is also a clip on the back side that has to be removed. Once I pulled it out you can see tumblers sticking up and if they are up they are probably broken. Pulled all he broken ones out and put it back together but the cover that i drilled the pins out didn't have pins to put back, didn't care because the security ring i took off would hold it in place anyway. I did see someone on here put silicone and let it dry to hold it in place, so I guess that was fine. Wasn't worried about removing broken tumbles instead of replacing them because even if I could turn it with a screwdriver, it won't start without the key chip and plus the car is almost 20 yrs old. I did stop at harbor freight to buy a $5 clip ring remover tool or whatever they called it. So for 5 bucks and a little labor I was back on the road-- locksmith, go pound sand - $220 ha ha, maybe if he was reasonable I would have gotten that done.
I'm confused... you have to push down on a lever and pull up at the same time. Mobility chair engineers are about the stupidest people in the world. The lady next door has a Summit chair that I can't get the seat off of. It looks just identical to the one in your video. I'll wait till tomorrow for the home aide lady to get here to help me get the seat removed.
Hi the way I did have good handle both hands on the seat and keep jerking up in motion while twisting rocking it up and down it should disengage. Let me know that helps
Went through all the steps. The key will not turn to the ACC position. Added liquid wrench and jiggled the key for an hour. Did not work. Anyone else have a solution.
Hello try unlocking the steering wheel maybe its lock make sure steering is able to turn left an rigth with the key in keep jerking the wheel til it unlock
www.amazon.com search for Valterra F02-3112 EZ Coupler 90° Bayonet Sewer Fitting-Red sewer to the ground connect pipes with sewer coupler (valterra F02-2103) use this fitting for connection you can connect and disconnect.. Connection fitting you find it at Lowes or Home Depot such as 90* elbows, connection ect.
jb garcia thank you finally found them. My sewer is only about 5 feet away from my travel trailer so won’t need much pipe but my main concern is does the smell escape or is it pretty secure? Also do I just leave both tanks open so they automatically dump or should I let them fill and then dump them
GandiaOrange Dude! That was the one thing that I could say was wrong with video! Other than that saved me a ton of $ and I’m truly grateful for this video!!!
Thanks for doing this video and the clear directions to remove and replace the ignition. After I removed the ignition assembly I took it to my local locksmith and the total cost was $28 as they did not have to come to the vehicle, remove, possibly take it back to their shop to fix, and then reinstall. The total time for them to complete was 45 minutes
Hi JB, thank you for this video. Any chance you could post it without music? I'm trying to hear what you're saying about what to do with the cylinder itself, and can't quite make it out with the music playing over the sound of your voice. I think I have this same exact problem with my '01 Toyota Sequoia.
Brandon Langford If your key does not turn or feels like its lock. 99% you have the same problem. Removing key cylinder is very easy as you can on the video. Once you remove cylinder take it Locksmith to have it rebuilt they might tell it can't be but insist it can done for $170 or less. Or call around if they can rebuild it. Good luck sorry for music
No joke, these fucking thing are the worst to get bitten by. Talking bout mind searing pain like a heated needle going into to you over and over again for a whole day.
I have a Question, My cylinder is getting stuck some times, if I replace the ignition lock cylinder with a new key do I have to program the new key? or the new kye is good just for the ignition and the original key is to open the doors ? Can you Help me please
