I bought the Zulus to hunt small game at night. I made the mistake of ordering the 5-20. The much narrower field of view makes it all but impossible to spot short range targets in the dark through the scope. Unless you can spot it with your naked eye, you won't even see them. 😥

More lens options and firmware upgrades will be available as time goes on. Currently with the Eagle model they have the 1.5x & 2x lens available. As the scope has a 1 - 13 x digital capability this will give a maximum of 19 x & 26 x zoom respectively. The other two lenses that are coming out later are 5x & 7x. The first two are 30mm & 50mm lenses. Yes, they have used the idea from the NV200 binocular. They are starting off with 1.5 x 19 x with the 30mm lens on the Eagle version & 2 x 26 x with the 50mm lenses. More lens options will be coming out in the future. The two lenses above focus from 3.82 yards to infinity with the 30mm lens, and 4.37 yards to infinity with the 50 mm lens. Size wise this scope is smaller and lighter than the NV400, making it ideal for hunting while roaming the woods, or countryside. The NV400 is more suited to static use, or when in a hide, using shooting sticks. It arrived today, so hopefully I will have something uploaded by the end of the week.

I purchased a set of grub screws off of the internet for about £6. All different sizes. If you are looking for a specific one from Reximex, you would have to contact Rangeright, the importer, who do all the gunsmithing on the rifles, but like most of these, they would charge you a few £s, plus postage, so buying a stainless steal set of grub screws from Amazon would work out cheaper in the long run, and you'd always have spares for any of your guns, or projects. Just search grub screws on google.
Lovely to see this after so many years. Hopefully my brother still has my Hurricane in his gun cabinet. I must have bought mine when I was 12 or 13 years old. I never did get the scope for it.
That adapter might have no point sometimes. That moderator’s tube might be not straight out of the box. Mine wasn’t and I had to straighten up it a bit. And now if I would extend it with additional moderator then pellets would hit it inside.
My .22 only likes Hades, what I have found is as the magazine snaps round to the next shot it deforms the skirts on softer pellets. Another gripe is point of impact shift every time I take it out. Fitted barrel band which helps a bit
@@airgunsniper-elite7385 Hi Mark....Sorry to annoy you but picked up my R-10 MK 1 today...Its a beauty with a lovely Walnut Stock...Stamped on the barrel is MD 01686 which I presume mean Manufactured Date 01-6-86 as in 1986...My question is do you recommend I get it fully serviced before taking out target shooting...And is there any must replace parts etc....Many Thanks and your brill videos sold me over on buying it...........
@@spookmotrtimore22 You would imagine that it has been serviced a few times since 86, but I would see how it shoots and if you have a chronograph, see what power it's producing. Depending on pellet choice, that would be between 10.5 ft/lbs and 11.5 ft/lbs, although that can easily be increased, or decreased, as it hasn't got anti tamper on it. If you feel happy to service it yourself, then the price of an 0-ring set will probably be not much more than £15. Another option would be to go to someone like Phil Crampton of the Ratworks. He would make a massive difference by fitting a tench regulator and fine tune every part of the rifle for around £150. He would be my choice for doing any work on it.
That is soooooooooo sweet.... It's not about the power, or even the accuracy... It's the ownership.... How cool is that, owning it for 48yrs.. ( my BSA Mercury is around 50 now, old man bought it me in 1974, or there abouts... Airgun treasures from great times..
I prefer the shape of the Tempest to be honest. We should have purchased all of the old Webley pistols when we had the chance. They are worth ten times as much as what we paid for them in the late 70s.
@@airgunsniper-elite7385 I know! I had the chance to buy a couple of really lovely Webley Premiers back in the 80's for about £15 each, I didn't buy them because they were in .22! Stupid me.
Great idea for a upload, still brings back such good memories of my webley hurricane. In the early nineties I bought one from JS Ramsbottom mail order (remember when you could buy a airgun and the royal mail dropped off your parcel) and my late grandad and myself would spend some great times together shooting that hurricane. I loved my grandad, he meant the world to me. He was a polish soldier who fought at Monte Casino with the combined Allied troops. I still own that webley and will never part with it.
Yes, these old airguns certainly bring back some great memories of better times. I was at Newark last week with the Newark Branch of the Parachute Regimental Association. They have a cemetary off of London road. It has a Polish war cemetary with over 400 Polish soldiers and airmen in it. We presented them with a wooden shield designed and made by a Polish paratrooper who was a member of the Nottingham Branch. He had jumped into Arnhem with the Polish parachute brigade, attached to the 1st Airborne Division. The cemetary has about 40 Polish paratroopers in it, who were killed in an accident leading upto the Arnhem drop, when two planes collided, killing all, but one, who crashed through a tree and landed on a muddy bank of a river, saving his life. He was later killed in action. The shield was presented to the cemetary, and will be placed in the Cemetary chapel.
Cool! Armed with a tin of marksman pointed from the fishing tackle shop and webly i hardly hit a thing as kid if anything wouldn't mind trying one again, personally I wouldn't change a thing with your pistol leave it till it stops or has issues. Good stuff like your vids
Oh Wow Mark, that sure is a blast from the past, 48 years ago and it's still shooting pretty good, you did great even hitting the target, I couldn't hit a barn door with the Hurricane 🤣🤣 I got one when I was about 12 or 13.. Around 1979-1980 my dad got me it while we were on holiday up the West Coast of Scotland, so watching you shoot it, brings back a lot of great memories, so I thank you for sending me back in time.. 😂😂 I look forward to a follow up video, that would be kind of cool 😃😃 catch you on your next video.. 👌🤘👍

I followed all instructions BUT when I inserted card with firmware on it and turned unit on, it went directly to "normal" view screen and still on version 1. Never started updating. Card is 256GB Samsung Pro and was formatted on the scope b4 the update attempt. How to resolve?
Thanks for posting this and your other videos. Have you played with trigger adjustment for lighter trigger weight? Do you think a newbie could do that without buggering things up?
@jeromemausling6324 Yes, the trigger is easy enough to improve for most. Once the stock is removed, it can be lightened by tightening the nut on the trigger rod. You can also remove the side plate to polish the trigger components.
