The reason Izzy couldn't run away was because Dricus had a seatbelt (left arm around Izzy's waist) keeping him from running away as he barrages Izzy with knuckles strikes. Izzy turned around because Dricus punches so damn hard and he couldn't pokerface anymore, and as he was hurt, Dricus took him down.
Gutted I missed the show live..Great to put a face to @makingthewalk. And I totally agree with what you say about the whole double champ..its should be minium of x4 title defences before it's even an option. Great show guys
Dricus & Team CIT have crafted a style that makes him look bad but there's technique in that chaos - he's offbeat, awkward, hits hard, timing, awareness, he knows how to nullify everything his opponent does well and counter every move.
DDP was snapping Izzy's head everytime he landed on him. Izzy would try to pokerface afterwards while also running away from DDP's punches. He has never fought someone who could hurt you with both hands.
