I have the multiple electricians pliers (Doyle) strippers, cutters, crimper, bolt cutters and long nose tip. As per their add they compare to the Klein version and come close to them or equal to them. There are 2 different things to the pliers 1. They are made in USA 🇺🇸 the Klein version and these are made in Taiwan 🇹🇼 and the Kleins are $10-20 more than the Doyle's I have both versions as well as Milwaukee, southwire, kobalt version and husky version and Walmarts hart version and they all work great. They are (the Doyle pliers) my go to pliers so's not to get my good ones stolen or ripped off.

For the average DIY’er, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with these wrenches. They will serve you well and not bust your budget. Unless you make your living with these kinds of tools, there’s no reason to spend 4 to 5 times on a tool truck brand wrench vs. the Pittsburgh Pro line.

What the hell...sears Craftsman from 50 years ago were polished on the ends and rough in the middle. I have over 50 Craftsman wrenches from over 50 years ago, they look awful compared to cheap chome plated Pittsburgh wrenches.

I probably would agree with you if I owned a fifty-year-old set. But Craftsman has been cheap China junk for awhile now. So I stand by what I said. I've been using these ranches for about 2 years now in a professional setting, and I am still impressed with them.

I went and bought 2 pairs of Doyle slip groove, channel lock style pliers and I love them things..

I've removed axle bolts with the 1/2 inch and it cross threaded. I've done some amazing things with the 3/8ths. An old Clint Eastwood saying comes to mind though. A man's gotta know his limitations. Compared to my air tools these are weaker and slower.

Hwy 58? In Chattanooga? Anyway, I'm a huge Doyle fan. For the money, they hold up perfect for what I do. I'm a DIY tool user. I work on my own cars and my own appliances. I recently picked up two new socket sets. A TEKTON 3/8 and 1/4. Both are no skip master sets. The quality compared to the price is incredible. Should last me as long as I need it to. I learned a few years ago to start looking for tolls made in Taiwan rather than tools made in China. Of course I will buy american-made, German made etc when I can but that's not always the most sensible. Thanks for the review, Cheers

The steel in pittsburgh wrenches is not softer! Unless your a friggen metallurgist, stop nocking them. Whether it's a snapon, or Pittsburgh pro, they're all forged the same way,period!

I guess you didn't understand the reason for my video. I actually like the Pittsburgh wrench set. In my opinion they are not as strong as the snap on or Mack or whoever else that you use. What is a person that uses wrenches all day long I've been using these for about a year now and I have been really happy with them. I think it's the best bang for your buck you can get. I'm sorry you took my video the Wrong Way.

@ChattanoogaDan
@ChattanoogaDan 3 года назад
These aren't made in China, they're made in Taiwan. It's actually a big difference. It's not just how it's made ie forging, it's the materials that they used to make it with. Lots of different types of steel quality out there as well as overall finish. The wire cutters aren't worth a crap if they're not ground properly. Taiwan is where a lot of high-priced name brand tools are made.

Omg are you a metallurgist? Snap/ on is no better than any other tool manufacturer. When over stressed it will break/bend just the same. Your right though, there is a big difference between snap/on and every other maker, price$! Everyone else I can afford. With snap/on, i can claim the driver on my taxes, pay off his house,put his kids through college. If you love paying up the ass for the Louis Vuitton of tools, by all means climb in that truck and drop your pants, cause your getting fucked. (Charges extra for the grease )

These cheaper Pittsburgh wrenches have definitely come up over the past ten years or so. I love the snap on wrenches I have they just fit better, but I have on more than one occasion recently bought the cheaper wrench due to needing it now and HF is a few blocks away versus waiting a few days for my snapon guy to show on his route.

You're telling me a $400 set of wrenches is made better than a $14 set? I'm shocked. Why doesn't anyone compare Pittsburgh tools to other midgrade tools like craftsman or kobalt?
@ivesman2000
@ivesman2000 4 года назад
My goal was to point out how cheap tools have come up in the world. That the difference is not as drastic as it once was. And that in my opinion, there is no "mid grade" anymore. Look at my newest video on using them in a professional work place. That video may be more accurate than this one.

@@ivesman2000 my point was the target customers of Harbor Freight are not the same target customers of Snap-On, MAC, and MatCo. However, it is your channel and you seem to make good videos. I was just venting.
