I come from a long line of strong southern women, steel magnolias and wonderful cooks all. Growing up in Louisiana, my fondest memories are of my sweet little Momma cooking and humming a little tune, sometimes a little out of tune, but I didn’t care. She cooked and served everything with love. I hope that is how my children feel about me.
I have been lucky to live in Louisiana, Texas and currently reside in Tennessee, all rich in good food, wonderful people and great music. I am excited to share some amazing Southern recipes and sweet stories with you.

A good substitute is 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon of salt for every cup of flour in a recipe. I am going to bake these with ap flour and see how they turn out. I will let you know!
