@@ronsuriano I've done some MTB rides on a few different trails with decent results (posted on my channel). Haven't done anything else with the car....yet. Any ideas?
@@thump911 I get mine on Thursday… had to order from Amazon UK (🤦🏻♂️), so I guess I’ll find out! I’ve scoured RU-vid but haven’t found ANYTHING, believe it or not. A rep at DJI told me in a chat that it IS within the capabilities, however. We’ll see soon enough!
@@ronsuriano what were you hoping to try out when you get it? Were you hoping for Motorsport tracking or biking or ....??? As far as I can tell, it won't scan and track an object, only a person. Haven't tried a pet, hmmm??🤔 The speed seems to be around 23kph that it can track a person at on a bike. If there isn't too many super sharp turns while tracking, it keeps up and does a good job. I have a couple different style biking videos in the trees you can check out to give you an idea. It's a fun little gadget, I like it!
@@thump911 Slow, parking lot shots… very slow “rollers”, if you will. I have a M3P for faster stuff, and an Osmo Mobile SE and FeiyuTech Pocket 3 for other shots. I was really just hoping for a quick way to get some innovative b-roll from another source. We shall see…
How long was your ride in its entirety and did you have to replace the battery during use? I have seen reviews of people stating it didnt last 20min? Thanks
@@Porkfryedbrice the ride in total was over an hour but yeah, unfortunately that info you're hearing is correct... The battery on this little guy barely lasts 15 minutes. It depends how fast and hard you're flying it... Just hovering and doing some circles or a slow walk in follow mode might last a minute or two longer but if you're fighting the wind or riding at speed then you might be a minute or two less. The Fly More package would be recommended or in my case, just buy a couple extra batteries separately after the fact and swap them out quickly and carry on recording. Keep in mind as well that the internal storage is 22GB and good for around 45 minutes of video so that's your other limiting factor. Overall I love this little drone and it works perfect for my needs!!! Cheers!!
@@robwhite164 that was straight from the drone into the DJI app to link a few video clips together with some cheesy music and then straight to RU-vid. No other picture quality edits whatsoever.
Wow. How many times has Neo failed to follow or crash? (I’m curious) This is fairly tight single with lots of branches on the way. Beautiful track btw.
Surprisingly it only hit the one tree later in this vid. When I passed I knew it was going to hit. I just went back, pressed the follow button again and it carried on again, as my stupid face showed, without issue, not a mark on the drone. These trails were more suited to the pace of this Neo. I did some other faster, flowy trails with a buddy a few days ago and it was too fast for the drone and the sun glare through the trees was throwing it off and getting it confused...just had to stop and let it find me/buddy again. No crashes into trees, just got caught in some ferns. But these trails in this vid worked really well. I'll go back up next week after work and try some new trails similar to these, stay posted (subscribed 😉)
@@thump911 Thank you for sharing your experience. I will follow. It’s very interesting to know what kind of trail Neo can do the best. Somehow, this drone has pretty decent avoidance capability. I ordered Neo to get some MTB footage. I can’t wait to try it on the trail. (My order seems to have been fulfilled in October.) Have fun!
@@jun701 the slower technical trails will be great. Faster, flowy trails might be disappointing. I'm still happy with the purchase and can't wait to take more vids asap. Have fun with it!!
@@kevindhillongames7391 catless headers, first resonator is stock, second resonator deleted and replaced with the Magna flow x-pipe muffler mid car, then it just goes to the quad exit.
I just recently got this type of sound from the back of the engine, i changed the spark plugs around a year ago and they havent been out since, isnt it weird if a sparkplug just comes loose on its own?
Wait so I’m curious, was it one or many spark plugs?? I’ve never done them or don’t remember doing them. I did do the ignition coils at 120k but my cars been running good (besides fixing the coolant system as per usual) 😂 & im at 160k now but I just got this weird noise today… I did replace the water pump 2/3 weeks ago & im worried it might be that again. So I’m just curious about the spark plugs before I do that. & how much did it cost??
@@steelokey for me, it was only the one plug. I tightened it back up again and checked the rest and that was it. Free and sound was gone. If you've done any coil work, probably wouldn't hurt to do7 le check tightness of all the plugs. Otherwise, I hope it's an easy fix for you. I know this won't be everyone's fix to their problem but this just gives any option to check. Cheers
@@thump911 appreciate it. Ya I got this terrible noise im not sure what it is. If I upload a short, real quick can you check it out & maybe gimme a tip?
Mine sounded the exact same maybe even worse thought oil was low, it wasnt it was full I thought bearing forsure but I seen a comment saying ignition coils, and to push them down or maybe there loose and I went outside checked my ignition coils (got them a year ago) one was broken/loose wouldn’t tighten I started the car pressed down the knock kinda went away but I knew at that moment the ignition coil was bad I switched it and it’s back to sounding like a dream again 😭 biggest relief sounded like rod knock
Thanks, I like it! Not sure how to send pics, sorry. 😜 Its basically just stock pipes til the second resonator. I removed that and replaced with a Magnaflow X-pipe muffler. Then the piping just bends under the spare tire well out the center rear. Lots of clearance...pipes are not the low point on the car. 😉
I know it’s late but was the sound only from the passenger side of the engine? I’m experiencing this currently it goes away if I trash the car for a bit my guess is due to heat expansion maybe. It’s not as loud as yours but definitely noticeable and you can’t hear it when you start revving the car up can only hear it on idle
It was certainly only noticeable on the passenger side. Heat expansion after a rip could maybe quiet it down a tad. It's pretty easy to remove the coils if you're hearing a similar sound and make sure your plugs are all snug. Good luck in the hunt!
@@thump911 Thankyou I hope it’s nothing too serious. The engine in mine has done 257k so not the end of the world if it does need changing it’s done well!
@@thump911I will be checking the plugs tomorrow, I haven’t used the car much at all lately due to worrying about this noise. Was yours worse when the engine was cold?
Hello!! Mine does a sound like that but isnt continuous, its like it sound at the vanos side from medium-bellow height. It just does a random pattern of knocks and only sounds at iddle. No knock from 1000rpm
@@thump911 Cold or warm it sounds the same... A little more continuous when warm... Just a little leak at the hidrahulic direction reservoir, no oil leaks, it doesnt eat a single drop. Its started to sound 3 days ago
Hey there. It's all homebuilt stuff, nothing fancy and I can't complain to anyone when something breaks! LoL It's got a 2275cc Scat motor that I built from scratch. Dual Weber 44 IDF carbs. MegaSquirt ignition is recently installed but not too many miles yet to finetune it. The hope is EFI and maybe a turbo in the future. It's got narrowed and lowered TopLine front struts, thicker rear torsion bars, Bilstein HD shocks, thicker front swaybar and added rear sway bar, poly bushing everywhere, transmission brace, Recaro front buckets. The only thing that surpringly hasn't been touched is the transmission, still stock. Planning to drive it til it breaks completely... I've already broken the nosecone but it's still trucking along with the trans brace. Lemme know if there are any other questions. It's a fun car and raises a lot of eyebrows. Cheers!
On my E46 the spark plug or the spark plug pipe/cap on cylinder 3 always loosen up by itself, anyone knows why does it do that? The rest aren't doing it
Are you talking about the coil on top of the spark plug loosening off? Try use just a dab of locktite on the bolts and then torque the coil bolts down to proper spec. They shouldn't back off. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong item that's loosening for ya.....🤷
@@thump911 I think it's called "ignition coil"? The one that sticks onto your spark plugs, that long elastic plastic thing .. It a,ways comes loose for some reason, and only on cylinder 3
Ok I like good information that pertains to a issue people have so with that I to had the same kind of knock and I thought the engine was toast so I started to investigate and this video led me in the right direction, but what I did first was pulled the wire off the coil pack of the suspected cylinder and the knock went away I plugged it back in and the knock came back then I press the gas to accelerate the engine and the knock seem to go away and at that point I knew the engine was fine so I kept investigating I check the injector it was fine I check the spark plug and it was tight so I was stomped. So while putting things back together I started the car and while checking my wires I was putting pressure on the coil pack and the knocking stopped but when I took pressure off it started knocking again at that point I knew something was up with the coil pack so I swapped cylinders and the knock moved to that cylinder( 5 to 4 ) funny thing is coil pack works fine. So I got a new coil pack and knock is all gone. So in the end it was the coil pack.
Glad it led you in the right direction. It's always a great feeling when you find a problem and can solve the problem yourself... Good job!!! Happy driving!!
I had no issues til I changed plugs and coils. My starts when i drive for awhile then I get this noise. I took out the coils and put the old ones back in..still happening. Never considered loose plug
im having the same problem, i did read what was your problem. Id like to ask u if u had alert engine light or not, because i do not and i hope that means its nothing serious. Thanks fot answer if u do :)
@@thump911 I'm having this same problem do not know yet if its spark plug wish me luck but my engine light came on and i pulled the code and it was the sensor I think because of the knocking noise it alerts the sensor then the engine light comes on
@@reesevandevyverefilm8080 definitely easy enough to pop the coils and check the plugs. Then you'll know for sure. Good luck in the hunt! I love this car but definitely needs constant checks and tweeks.
I put a used engine in my wrx and heard that on start up though I just lost all my money because it was out of warranty thank good it was just a lose spark plug biggest relief ever
Home made jobby. The second resonator was replaced with the dual in/out magnaflow x-pipe muffler leaving lots of room for moving things around. Driver side pipe simply runs where the stock muffler used to be and the passenger side snakes under/around the spare tire well. 2" pipe and no clearance issues at all...NOT the low point on the car. 😉
That thing was scootin' indeed! I was content to see it walk on the straights with double the power, but I was ecstatic to reel it back in on the curvies! 😈
Thanks for the comment. I'd say the usual stuff at the time of this vid....intake, Coilovers, tires. I need to do a followup event now since there's been a few more changes over this past winter, mainly the 5 speed manual swap, headers and performance tune. Can't wait to try it again at autocross, and especially the HPDE days at a couple local tracks this summer.
I have a similar sound in my 2001 330i. Does the sound increase with rpms or no? I replaced all my sparkplugs and rebuilt my vanos, even removed the fan and belts to narrow down the sound. Nothing. I did unplug the coil for cylinder 1 and it seemed to get slightly quieter. Bad coil pack maybe?
Not too sure. Since you've been in for plugs, I'd say check em again, just to be sure....maybe they worked loose? 🤷 Mine did change with RPM ... Hopefully it's nothing too serious with yours....good luck in the hunt!! 😬🤞
Lol yeah, I've done all the jumps twice last summer. Haven't ridden it since so was very unsure where things were hiding. And the fact my buddy broke a collarbone, ribs and punctured lung last year on that trail... 😳 All in time it will come back! 👍
Hey man I’m going thru the same thing right now with this 335i 2008 with n54. Car runs great shifts fine and mine has the same sound the more I gas it the more it goes. I’m checking my ignition coils to see if they’re lose today I feel like this car does not have rod knock
