i have this issue and I'm tired of playing at 60 fps on my ps i tried it its not the hdmi or my playstation cus it does that for a split second when you turn it on with ps or hdmi
To everyone who’s commenting what they’ve tried thank you so much , I thought my Msi raider was cooked I looked thru and seen someone suggested I change refresh rate soon as I did it wasn’t glitching anymore , can someone tell me if that means the screen is going out or if I got a bad update ???
Have a MSI G271 that I bought a little over two years ago. A year ago I had this issue at 144Hz so I dropped to 120Hz. Then a few months after that I had the issue at 120Hz so I dropped to 60Hz. Now I have that same issue at 60Hz. Tried everything. Updating drivers, switched DP and HDMI cables. Tried on different computers. The issue is definitely the monitor itself. Going forward, I won't be purchasing from this brand. Might stick with BENQ as I have a 24in (which was supposed to be my 2nd monitor) and it has lasted me 10 years with no issue.
@@SlyferSeekerPC I've contacted their support. Since my monitor is out of warranty, they pretty much told me to just buy a new monitor... Even if you have warranty, I think it costs you quite a bit to ship it out as well... I have since purchased a Dell monitor as BENQ monitors are out of my budget and it has a three year warranty. They are also more reputable in terms of quality compared to MSI.
brother Im having this same problem with my Asus Tuf A15 laptop, this problem is occurring when Im shifting to 144 hz. If you found any solution please let me know....
You need to heat up the monitor until it goes away just put a heater in front of it and warm it up and it should go away like it’s only temporary so ye
two years later mine is about 7 months old unfortunately I lost the receipt and the warranty paper so can't send it back, I saw many people telling that a hair dryer will fix the issue is that true ? I am running it at 144hz
Solution: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-He1OuJQVNnU.html use this video, in my case (120HZ monitor) it failed when using it at the maximum that Windows allowed (120.02 for some reason) of refreshment however when using the program and setting it exactly at 120hz it has been working perfectly. I hope it helps you.
i just tried using a friend's monitor, and it fine with no flickering. and i can conclude that this problem is not with the gpu but with the msi monitor, haiyaaaa.
Yo, i have a solution. Yesterday i dropped to 80Hz (I buyed it on 2022 and the flickering was progressive) And the solution is heating the monitor. My city is very warm but the monitor gets cold with a conditioner air, i just power on my screen with the brighness at 100% and turned off my conditioner air for all of the day, this should warm the monitor and fix the problem progressively. It was turned on for 8 hours straight and it was from 80Hz to 130Hz in one day

Welp i think the best solution for us is to just borrow a friend monitor and try to plug it if it works then it surely is the monitor problem if it's still flickering then the gpu have a problem
I have the same problem :( I don't know what happened suddenly it started flickering, I already tried lowering the Hz, changing the HDMI, I even used other devices thinking it was my graphics card :(

I CURRENTLY HAVE THE SAME ISSUE OMG I have been looking everywhere for anyone even having the same issue as me... I have iiYama G-Master G2470HSU-B1 24 monitor and it's a monitor that can go up to 165 Hz. However anything about 70 and I have the same problem as seen in the video. This problem also worsened over time for me. So you're saying that the problem is in a monitor?

My asus monitor start to acted weird after i replace my asus laptop with lenovo My old asus laptop are broken. I didn't think its gonna effected my monitor this much if i use other laptop brand 😭
You have to warm up the monitor and it will go away and when the lines come back heat the monitor up again it’s temporary when the lines go away sorry for my bad grammar

yes mine does it aswell got mine for my ps5 back in 2022 and then in july i got my pc it worked fine on 120 for abt a week then it started doing it to my task bar and i still have the monitor as a 2nd screen on 60 fps and it works on 60 but when i switch it to 120 the whole screen goes black sb said put heat like a blow dryer an it will disappear
I have the exact same problem with my HP gaming laptop from 2020 man, if i put it on 144hz (wich it was capable of all the time) i have screen flickering now from the boot up on. If i change it to 60hz....nothing at all. Did you found some workaround man? NVIDIA RTX 2060/ Intel i5 10300H 8 cores 2.50Ghz each. Cleaned regularly. It worked sometimes with a heater next to it for some reason. CPU was always on temp. Help. :'(
U can use CRU to set a custom refresh rate that's lower than 144mhz. I have the same problem, it's either I wait for a couple minutes for the monitor to "heat up" and it works normal then or, use CRU software and set the refresh rate to 135 and never had an issue since
@@svenzerx8490 is it working fine now? And did MSI asked you to shipped the monitor or someone from the MSI service centre came and replaced it??..btw thanks for the reply :)
@@MessmerX So MSI sent people from a third party delivery agency, could be Blue Dart, DHL etc depending on where you live, in my case it was some company called "Delivhery" , they just pickup the monitor and you receive an email from msi's personnel regarding the status and tracker of the RMA and around 2 weeks later the same company delivered the new piece and that's it
I got This on 165hz, but im fine with 144hz for the most of the time... but if i started a game in fullscreen i get the flickering back (if i play the games in max window mode,i its all fine) but window mode isnt that fast then fullscreen...
Have the same problem on my MSI Optix G421V 75hz native; the only kind of a solution was to downgrade the refresh rate to 60hz, msi is trash Also wanted to point out that it all started when using suspension mode on my pc. sorry for my bad english
Just started having this problem today. The flickering on my screen is at the top and only happens when its loading black or any dark colors. Setting it to 60hz solved the problem but that sucks when ive been running it at 144 with 3060ti.
If anyone is having this issue still i foumd something that worked for me. I tried avery trick imaginable then my last resort was blowing into the holes on the back of the monitor case and the shitty display went away. Might be poor venting causing dust to accumulate or overheating. We’ll see how long it lasts

dude im having the same issue on a LG Monitor... this so annoying... was gonna play elden ring and it just goes crazy when it changes to 60hz... this is just annoying
I am planning to buy this monitor this week MSI OPTIX G27C7 27″ 165HZ 1MS will I have the same problem? I'm planning on using it with my laptop that also has nvidia rtx 3060
I have a MAG272CQR which has the same panel and have an issue similar to this on 165/144hz mode that's getting progressively worse. Time to stop buying shit MSI products!
@@hecantaffordit Bought a Dell monitor thats so much much better, guarantee that it'll last longer than the MSI one. Made the best of it at least by using the shit one for a dual monitor setup
hey, idk if ustill have this issue and if u even have the monitor anymore, but many people say its the nvidia praphics drivers, just switch back a bit till you find one that isnt buggy with 144hz or make sure the cables inside ur monitor are working proplerly, they might not be getting enough power

I have been having the same problem, same monitor as yours, but mine has gotten to the 50hz limit and won't let me go up. What I have noticed that is weird is that the stutter and flickering happens less when the background is a lighter color, example I used to use everthing in dark mode and one day I just got onto facebook and noticed that it was less so I tried changing everything back to normal white backgrounds and it has worked but that doesn't change the fact that it still stays in 50hz and the flickering appears every once in a while, sadly I don't have warranty or anything since I live in a third world country, sucks
I have gone through two AOC 27G2 monitors, when it first happened I was like okay maybe just a faulty monitor, but it happened again. So I made a brand switch to LG
i use laptop MSI GF63 and have the same exact issue. the problem only occurring on my screen at 144hz. when i set to 60hz all good. i don't have any solution, but if your laptopor monitor still have warranty just claim it or considering buying a new one
Bro I just seen this video.. I have the same exact problem.. what the heck I don't know if this could be fixed or what. instead of 144hz I am just using 120hz.
Welcome to the club. You can try what other people suggested in the comments and it may work for you. As of right now I would opt to return it or get it fixed for warranty
@@johnleesumibcay2232 I don't think that I would be able to get it replaced or take advantage of the warranty. I have been using this monitor for more than two years and this just happened. :(
Hi, Just an update I gave it to msi for warranty claim last month and they gave me a replacement with MSI OPTIX G272 and when I asked why they didn't provide G271. Is it any better than G271? I hope this new replacement doesn't cause any flickering issues
Guys I found a solution. Step 1 : turn of your computer. Step 2 : turn off the button on the power supply ( wait for 10-15 seconds). Step 3 unplug the cord from the power supply. Step 4 : press the turn on button on the case of your computer for 15-20 seconds. Step 5 : unplug the hdmi or dp and again press the turn on button on the case for another 15-20 seconds. Step 6: plug the cord on the power supply , let the computer start for 10-15 seconds and then plug the hdmi or dp. I hope this helped you if you have any questions let me know. The problem is that cords or power is magnetised or something I’m not really sure. That worked for me at least.
hello guys i have teh optix mag24c and i have the flickering problem. BUT i think that the issue is the power adapter? sometimes i hit it with my feet and it does that thing for a little and then stops. Unfortunately at the time speaking i cant run over 60hz :(. Also i want to state for me that the ac adapter is making a noise like buzzing which is very very strange and i am thinking of changing that to check if the problem will persist after.
I have the same problem but its not on that degree my screen starts flickering at 120fps so im forced to keep it at 60 FPS half of what its supose to do....
