Everything about Anne Frank: her life, her diary, and the Secret Annex.
The Anne Frank House was established on 3 May 1957 in cooperation with Otto Frank, Anne Frank’s father. We are an independent non-profit organisation that runs a museum in the house where Anne Frank went into hiding and we try to increase awareness of Anne’s life story all over the world, encouraging people to reflect on the dangers of antisemitism, racism, and discrimination, and the importance of freedom, equal rights, and democracy.
I have read alot about the helpers, particularly Miep and Bep and what they went through during those times. There was keeping the eight in hiding safe, running the business, looking after themselves and their own loved ones, having to be very careful the entire time not to attract unwelcome attention from the Nazis, keeping an eye on people around them aswell and not knowing what was going to happen from day to day it must have been incredibly stressful for them! I take my hat off to them because how many people would have done what they did? This series has been brilliant and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I love seeing Luna who plays Anne smiling because her whole face lights up and she looks genuinely happy 😊. I think she has been outstanding in every episode. #Lunacruzperez🇳🇱 #Annefrank🇮🇱 #Annefrankhouse🇮🇱🇳🇱 #Annefrankvideodiary🇮🇱🇳🇱
What an Incredible Women ,Miep Gies risk her life for all in The Secret Annexe and Anne Frank, Thank you for this and remember the other helpers as well ❤❤❤
I’m on the audio book Anne frank and I had to leave to go home and I’m last her last entry August 1st and here’s a good quote from her “Paper is more patient than people” “1 rule to remember to laugh at everything and forget everyone else it’s the only defense against other peoples self pity “
I have really enjoyed this series it has been exceptional. I am a 45 year old handicapped and disabled man yet Anne Frank is someone who I look up to, she was brilliant and wise beyond her years. What age was she when she went into hiding? 13 wasn't it? One day she was out playing with her many friends and the next day she went into hiding for 761 days with 7 other people after Fritz joined them; they were stuck with each other all that time 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the whole time. But in that time she wrote one of the best books I've ever read and I've read ALOT of books (just ask anyone who knows me!). She was such a wonderful writer and described things so well that you feel like you're there in the room with her. Luna Cruz Perez is an awesome actress and I wish her the very best for the future. #Annefrank🇮🇱 #Lunacruzperez🇳🇱 #Annefrankhouse🇮🇱🇳🇱 #Annefrankvideodiary🇮🇱🇳🇱
761 days in hiding and not going outside once in all that time until they were discovered and arrested! You can't imagine doing something like that. They were so close to being liberated near the end aswell.
I wanted to say what a brilliant series this has been and the whole cast were wonderful, so like the people they were portraying who were actual real people (I think sometimes people forget that). Thank you to the Anne Frank House for making this. I think Luna Cruz Perez should win lots of awards for her work in this series because she has been outstanding! I wonder what the real Anne Frank would have thought of her? #Lunacruzperez🇳🇱 #Annefrank🇮🇱 #Annefrankhouse🇮🇱🇳🇱 #Annefrankvideodiary🇮🇱🇳🇱
I know it's not the same but not that long ago during the pandemic when we were all stuck indoors and couldn't go out much we soon got on each other's nerves. Unlike the eight in hiding I could go to my room and listen to music and watch things on RU-vid like the Anne Frank Video Diary but Anne and the others didn't have that luxury. I wanted to point out that Anne and Auguste didn't always get on but Auguste would happily talk about things that Edith didn't like to talk about and when they were in the camps Auguste was there for Anne and Margot. I loved the look Anne gave Fritz and I must mention the make up because Luna Cruz Perez really looks like she's been hiding for two years and hasn't been outside once! #Lunacruzperez🇳🇱 #Annefrankvideodiary🇮🇱🇳🇱
I think Otto saw the bigger picture and knew that the secret annexe was no place for a teenage romance as they had enough to worry about but I am sure he was glad that they were getting on well with each other though. Everytime I watch an episode I end up thinking what a brilliant actress Luna Cruz Perez is! #Lunacruzperez🇳🇱 #Annefrankvideodiary🇮🇱🇳🇱
I had the privilege of visiting her home while i was in the Netherlands. I stood in the very places she stood, I saw the spot were she wrote most of her diary, I climbed the stairs she climbed, and I read from the book she poured her soul in to. It's such an emotional experience to hear the stories of her, her father, and friends.
Dear Anne Frank House I've recently been watching a documentary series called The World at War it's in 26 part's and on episode 18 it's about the occupation of the Nederland's and in it features a young girl laying flowers in remembering the Dutch army's fallen in battle, Now this young girl looks like Anne Frank herself as she's walking she glances at the camera Man whose filming she's smiling nervously as she lays the flowers, She's about the same age as Anne in may 1940 Anne was nearly 11 years old and small for her age so could you please check this out it's about 15 minutes in This episode and in my opinion just might be Anne Frank, I really hope that I'm right, love what you do And keep up the good work, love to you all And Anne Frank House, and Anne Frank ❤❤❤ forever 💕
I really hope she enjoyed that moment. I can't even imagine what she went through. She seems so young and innocent and beautiful, and I can't even believe that someone would ever think it's justified to murder her so mercilessly. Her death was unjustified, and words can't even describe how much anger I feel towards the people who so callously killed her, 1.2 million kids, and 10 million other people JUST BECAUSE they just so happened to be different than the people who imprisoned them. But despite all the hate, I think it's just incredible that Anne was still able to see the goodness in people, and was still able to live every moment of her life to the fullest, despite everything the world put her through. I recently got the honor to visit the Museum of Tolerance with my mom in LA, and we got to see the Anne Frank exhibit and even listen to a Holocaust survivor's story. It makes me feel a bit better to know that there are people out there who are working their very hardest to make the world a better place, and that there are people who are making sure that Anne Frank, her family, and every other bright soul who was lost because of Hitler's lies are not forgotten Anne Frank, I want you to know that you were never forgotten. I want you to know that even though you may not have lived long enough to see the impact of your words, your story has inspired generation upon generation, and that your legacy continues to live on to this day. You truly deserved the world, and I wish that you had gotten to live long enough to maybe be the girl who lived next to you that was getting married. And although people can do terrible things, I want you to know that there are good people at heart, that there are people who are working their very hardest to make this world a better place, and that things did eventually get better. Rest in peace, Anne Frank, Margot Frank, and everybody else who had their lives cut tragically short because of the Holocaust. May your souls shine brighter than the stars, and may you fly beyond the skies limit. Wherever you are now, I hope with all my heart that you are now at peace.
I feel like a lot of what Anne felt before she went into hiding, how scared she was of the future ahead of her, is a lot of what young people nowadays feel today, especially the Ukraine’s, it’s like history is repeating itself again, but ten times worse now with nukes. Anne and her family have always been relevant to history, but their story is relevant more than ever now in the times that we live in today. Those who do not learn history are forever doomed to repeat it. This world needs a reminder. 💔😭
Thank you, Otto Frank was a Amazing Human Being and a great Father Who Loved his family always and never forgotten Anne and Margot for the rest of his life, Love them all and they will never be forgotten ❤❤❤❤❤❤
