I will _NOT_ be buying this case for one reason. The _Front_ I/O is on the top, it should be on the front. It's a desktop case, as in, it should be up on the top of the desk, not underneath. The front I/O should be along the front bottom or side bottom perimeter. In my opinion, it should be in a module that can be relocated as per the end users desire. Aside from that, I love it. I am so glad to see that this case will support "Rear Motherboard Connectors", as I believe that is the direction that the industry is headed. And I'm all for it. I just want to say that I really like Antec products. Especially lately. Y'all are on a roll. Please consider this constructive criticism and not an outright bashing of your teams efforts. Thank you.
Thank you for your feedback! We truly appreciate constructive criticism as it helps us improve our products. Your points about the front I/O placement and the modularity for user preference are noted and will be shared with our design team. We're glad to hear you love the support for rear motherboard connectors and that you're enjoying our recent products. Your support means a lot to us, and we're committed to continuously improving to meet our customers' needs. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
So, I wanted to give them a chance to respond about the front panel, but since they aren't.... My review of this case after building with z790 ATX/12700k, dual tower air cooler and an RTX 3060 ti with RM750 PSU(RM850x was precarious): 1) PITA to build in, have to remove bottom fans for MB connections. Pre-installed wiring for Fans is a rats nest. Have to remove panel in back to get to the fan controller. 2) PSU support(physical) is questionable since you are hanging it by 4 screes with no other support, also length could be an issue 3) FRONT PANEL IS ACRYLIC, NOT GLASS!!!!!!! I have asked here, amazon, and other reviewers an got non committal comments about the front panel. Come on.. tap the front, tap the side, one sounds like glass the other doesn't, touch the front, touch the side, one will feel 10 degrees colder than the other, rub your finger on the front and the side, one will squeak and the other wont. Maybe I got some pre-release unit, so YMMV. 4) Seems to do decent job cooling(it should with 7 fans) and runs pretty quiet 5) Cable management is non-existent, all you can do is shove it all in the back, no channels, no straps. 6) Fan controller has only enough RGB headers for the 7 included fans and 1 extra PWM header. 7) 45 degree bevel seam between front and side panel are a very poor fit. You can see into the case through the gap. So if you want a lot of RGB fans it's a good value BUT it's a cheap case with either incorrect marketing or bad QC control(please tell me I just got a pre-release unit from amazon with acrylic!!) I will probably return on principle based on #3 above.
You want all glass and I want a mesh front panel and a radiator mount, and a bottom mounted front I/O. But I hear what you're saying. Doesn't make sense for the front to _not_ be glass too.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We sincerely apologize for any confusion and the inconvenience you've experienced. We'd like to address your concerns point by point: We're sorry to hear that building in this case was challenging. We'll take your comments about the bottom fans, pre-installed wiring, and fan controller access into consideration for future improvements. We understand your concerns about PSU support and length. We'll review this aspect to ensure better support and compatibility in future designs. We want to clarify that the front panel is indeed tempered glass, not acrylic. It sounds like you may have received a unit that doesn't meet our standards, and we apologize for this oversight. Please reach out to our customer support for a replacement. We're glad to hear the case does a good job with cooling and runs quietly. Your positive note is appreciated. We acknowledge the feedback on cable management and will work on enhancing this in future iterations. The fan controller is designed to support the included fans, but we understand the need for additional headers and will consider this for future models. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Please contact our customer support team so we can assist you further and ensure you have a product that meets your expectations. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We have two solutions that will work with the Antec C5 antec.com/documents/product/accessory/accessory-Antec_Shift_PCIE%204.0_ARGB_Black&White_flyer_231225.pdf antec.com/documents/product/accessory/accessory-Antec_Shift_PCIE%204.0_Black&White_flyer_231225.pdf
We apologize for any confusion and disappointment you’ve experienced. The front and side panels are both indeed tempered glass, not acrylic. It sounds like there might have been a misunderstanding or a miscommunication. If you received a unit that seems different from this, it may be an issue with that particular unit. Please reach out to our customer support team so we can address this and ensure you receive the correct product. I've recently changed my case from NV9 to Performance 1 FT. I will be honest, considering the price gap of $150 vs $250 1 FT is a better case overall IMO.
I've reached out to Antec multiple times now about this case (every month or so) over email and even social media DMs about the availability of this version with fans as I really want this case, and they havent responded to me, and the ARGB version (with fans) still isn't available to buy. I check weekly to see if i can buy it on amazon and other retailers. It seems like at this point they don't have any plans to release it...
yeah I'm really hoping they're just stickers that can be peeled off easily or that they'll hold a sharpie or black stickers. Also not a huge fan of the I/O being on the top
@@amlandas647 it fits ATX PSU BUT you don't want to put some massive PSU in here as length may be an issue and it's suspended by the screws with ZERO other support so weight would be concerning. I put my RM850x in but it didn't seem stable/safe, RM750 seems fine.
I can't believe there is only monkeys designing cases these days... no 420mm aio support in a case with 3x140mm fans support everywhere is really bad joke... deal breaker for me... NEXT 🤡🤡🤡🦧🦧🐒🐒🐒🐵🐵
I just built a brand new gaming pc with the Silent version of the Performance 1 case. The Silent version is super quiet and is perfect for the No RGB builders.
