I just brought a second one it’s a 1000 like this but it’s got a faint clicking noise when reeling is there something off or is that normal for the 1000
Here is a video that shows the difference that sea trout smolts have from samon smolts. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ylp9c1DUygQ.htmlsi=aOHB-h773LkABV_m
The sound of the bearings is specific to the sound of plastic bushings rubbing but both sounds contribute to the way a reel sounds. The type of materials used, thickness of the grease and oils inside as well as the quality of the cut of the gears contribute quite a bit too. 👌
I find most of the answers i want from your video thanks alot ... i was thinking to buy the same rod but know im not because i have already favorite white bird rod and its already for micro or ultra light jigging and i dont want another jigging rod ... any advise for ajing ultra light rod for saltwater shore casting lure and jighead? Thanks again
Thanks for the kind words! It depends on your budget, I love my 4 pc. 10g. Major Craft Crosstage and travel the world with it. I have anything from tiny groupers and scorpions to 4-5kg fish on it and it's always super fun. It's extra fast, but not as fast as the Aji-Do. With that said, the Aji-Do is my very favourite for light sea fishing, I own both the 5G and 1G versions and both are fantastic imo.
Thanks for the reply its kind from you helping others and commenting back.. yeh now im between the major craft 1G Aji Do and the triple cross ajing S682AJI .. mostly im using minnows lure and soft bait .. so what do you think between those both rod
I have never fished with the Triple Cross, but I know it's a heavier rod. Depends on the fish you target and the size of your lures really. I love light stuff and I always prefer to go the lightest possible for the fish I am after.
Lets agree that we are talking 1g to 7g lure and soft bait ..the triple cross can handle 0.6 -10 g and the 1G AD1-S622M can handle 0.6 - 5 g i never mind for ajing rod to be not more than 90G for rod weight nothing mentioned in major craft website about the rod weight regarding the triple cross and other rod .. and to let you know i own 1G shore jigging 1002L/lsj and its really light and i love it.. but im confused about my next rod that it must be ajing rod .. i have many good and cheap and good ultra light rod for example crossfire trout ultra light rod and other but im still looking for an premium rod like major craft
do you know that you are killing this Trout with a painful death? There is no way you can handle it with dry hands - without special gloves. She gets a thermal shock from your hands.
My hands are always wet before handling a fish, and it has been out for 5 seconds between the net and being released. I do take fish handling very seriously and advocate for it. Gloves take the slime off the fish and cause more damage than anything else. I appreciate your concern but it will be good to educate yourself a bit more first. Thanks for the comment!
Hey, thanks for the comment! I use anything between size 6 and 10, typically trying to have the hook to come out between 1/3 and 1/2 of the length of the lure.
You crazy bro, one Google search and it will tell you Shimano is better. They've just been doing this shit longer and understand gears wayyy better. Penn and Shimano is proven best, daiwa is just the little brother trying to get in the picture😂
Unbeatable! I'll start filming full length videos of it soon, but the dry season is not here yet in Ireland. Still cold, high water, but we still don't anyway 😅
Thanks man! I am not sure of the local market in Turkey but the reel and rod are quite popular and they should be available online or in store for sure. The reel is Daiwa Ninja LT 2000 The rod is Savage Gear SG2 0-2g.
That's south of Ireland, I don't fancy sharing locations to protect them from poachers and in general. If people can recognize it, happy days, it means they have fished it. I hope you understand!
Thank you so much! It's a Dark Olive pattern with hares ear body, copper wire, soft hackle by choice. The tail is optional and I had both with and without a tail on the point and on the dropper to see if there was any difference in the fish's preference but both delivered equality. Natural colours seem to work the best.
It's fantastic because tiny fish puts up a good fight, but fish like these pike can really get on your nerves. Heavy, long drag playing game, you have no control over them, but when you land them it feels good. Definitely the UL game is the pinnacle of technical fishing and it's 100% worth it!
Excellent video. From what I noticed, this rod would throw smaller wobblers of 3.5-4 gr. I wonder if it could be used for some mormishing 0.2-0.3 gr. because its declared casting weight says so? Thanks .
Thanka a lot! Yes, it can be used for nano jigs, mormishing and casting nymph flies perfectly. If the wobbles are too aggressive, it may be a bit too soft for accurately and freely manipulating them, but casting them will be fine.
Great video! Which length of Aji-do did you go with? I am looking at a light power model in the 5ft 8 length however have a similar concern to yourself that the tip might be too fast. I am trying to find a bit softer of a rod at a similar price level which has more flex through the blank to fight some smaller perch, blue gill, crappy, etc. Thanks
No prob, I have 2 rods 5'8 and a 6'8. The tips action is actually quite slow, it's the rest of the bank that's stiffer, this helps for great sensitivity with tiny fish especially while jigging and it's tons of fun as well. Where it fails imo is in stronger current. If you haven't experienced very fast rods, try one first. It is totally my thing and I love fishing both fresh and salt water with it for anything nano/ultra light. Some people prefer more noodlely like blanks, both have pros and cons really. Tight lines!
Thanks a lot! Yes, They also recently released the more budget 1G version. Differences between the 1G and 5G is that the 5G has Titanium Smoke Fuji with SiC-S inserts while 1G has standard Fuji SiC guides. The Carbon of the Aji-Do 5 is T1100G Toray wrapped in an all 360 axial direction while in the 1G it is standard bidirectional wrap like the Crosstage. Same reel holder. Worst basic rod case with the 1G compared to the 5G.
@@fisheverything Thanks for getting back to me here, I just realized I sent a comment on your other video with the rod. I think I need to find a bit softer of a model to give me that true ultra light experience......
it's called BFS fishing using very light tackle with lures and flies, if you follow @makeshiftlures he has loads of videos fishing ireland for coarse fish using this technique
BFS fishing is when you use Bait Cast Finesse system which I do as well, but haven't filmed yet. Here I mean the double dropper rig with micro hook and micro lure so you can target small roach, bream, perch and hybrids while also fishing with larger lure at the bottom. Thanks for watching!
Hi there, I can't share the name of the place but there is no water in Ireland that I know which doesn't have roach in it. They are everywhere. Tight lines 🎣
Thank you so much! If you care about the pikes health, I suggest using 4-5lb micro wire trace. Most of the times the perch doesn't mind but you don't leave this many hooks and leaders in the pikes mouth. Tight lines!
Thanks bud, it is just some fun time spend with a friend and sharing what it is like with other that research if it's worth it honestly. I've been a few times and the size has ranges from these being the smallest to way bigger fish, but that's based on the season.
